It was really funny to flip through the old photos. Mum loves to take photos and this habit of hers has passed on to me. I have this philosophy - that taking photos is an act to capture the very moment or keeping memories of a particular person. Photos are the best medium as they will remind us of our happy moments and unforgettable events – some things which took place that we totally forgotten about till we see the photos.
A form of evidence, perhaps? Mum used to say :"See, without me taking photos, do you think you have your baby photos to look at now?"
Mum always tells me stories about my little days. She used to say that I cried for food – and yes, literally. I would cry so loud till the whole neighborhood could hear me once I’ve emptied my milk bottle or whilst waiting for mum to make extra portion for me. The louder I wailed, the more panic she got. *bad baby*
When I was a baby, food was my life. I live to eat and not eat to live. You can easily keep me quiet by feeding me with food. Bribe me with food....!
See this and you will know what I meant. Do you think you able to carry the "baby me"?
(Mind me, I have never shared these photos with anyone before)
Hope the photo didn’t scare you off !!!!! =)
This has proved what mum said were facts, right?
Okay, years passed and I grew up.
I have changed a little, but one thing in me didn’t change.
Food was my favourite and I got fascinated with them! I still love food today!
See!!!
Savoring on my meal
Home made Chinese Sausages
See my excited lil' face.....
Okay, enough of the food tales.
While going through the piles of albums in the luggage, I saw more and more albums of my childhood days – this time; it was albums of me having an “affair” with aqua. Aqua turned me on. I was very happy and smiled all the way when mum and dad brought us to the beach; and I still love it now. I love the sea and the sand…..
Happy "Beaching"
The bungalow that we used to live in was huge. It was way too big for a family of 4. Anyway, there was a big garden too. Most evenings, I was the “part-time gardener”. Back in 20 years ago, it was still very safe to walk and play around the compound outside - a non-fenced or gated housing area. Mum never had to worry about the both us – the little rascals in the house.
Again, I was very happy to play with aqua. It was a great past time for me. Hahahaha….
Now, when I recall and reflect back, what a silly girl I was. By just playing with water, it satisfied me and it was fun to me.
There were just too many photos in the luggage. Some were really embarrassing….some were really funny and some were really silly!!!!!
Mum and I laughed non-stop with the photos in our hands…
hahaha. You don't look like you when you were young. One more thing...you sure love to laugh with a big smile. Hope to see more of that from the current you. Cheery!
