The Meaning of Christmas

I zoomed to The Curve after my appointment in Lot 10.

I needed to make the most out of my time (from the time I reached The Curve till the time I met up with my sisters). Why? Simply because I haven’t done any Christmas shopping!!!!! So, it was a good opportunity to do some before dinner.

Hahahaha, I managed to cross out a few names off my shopping list. I found the right pressies for them (I hope). The thing about me is I shopped for Christmas pressies depending on what the other parties needs, what I think is useful to them or what they always wanted -in this case, provided I can afford it =). I really hope they like what I bought.

So, it was time to have dinner at the marketplace - Marche, when Money Magnet Babe’s name was flashing on my handphone’s screen. We met up and I felt good meeting up with my sisters again after so many weeks. After all the adrenaline rushing and hectic weeks of work….I deserved a good weekend and tonight was the beginning of it. Yes!!!!

*Smiling from ear to ear*

Money Magnet Babe decided the place for dinner as Marche was having a Christmas Charity Event. 20% of their nett sales will be donated to Ray of Hope, a non-profit and non-religious organization which runs a special educational centre to provide education for children with learning disabilities. The whole restaurant was filled with joy. Besides this, the place was also decorated with Christmas ornaments and lights lit up the whole place cheerfully.

I was happy that I joined the event…or shall I say to dine at Marche.

The place was crowded and it was really heart-warming to just sit there and look around – the sharing and caring ambience. There was a group of the mentally disabled children at one special corner, dining. They also performed a few Christmas carols. Not bad, huh?

As usual, the sisters chatted and exercised our face muscles to the max (this didn't only apply to eating, but laughing our lungs out). We shared the food we ordered so that we had quite a bit of varieties to taste. Of course, I ordered my Sautéed Mushroom. I shared 2 bowls of it with the rest.

As usual, the owner of the restaurant has employed the cutest guy in size (= chubby) to dress up as Santa. Mr Santa came by and we had a photo opportunity with him.

We paid up our bills and left Marche, after being there for 2 hours. We walked around for awhile before we parted and headed for home. Checked out the stalls outside The Curve and yet we had a good laugh just by looking at the items in the stalls. Weird? No, we were just happy.

I felt really good tonight. Firstly, was because I did some charity work by dining there and some money will be going to Ray of Hope’s funds. Secondly, was because at the dining table, we shared our food among each other. Lastly, I had a great time with my sisters.

To me, this is the meaning of Christmas – sharing, giving and caring for each other and with those less fortunate.......
Good night!
