Saturday came.
It was a sunny morning. I got up when the alarm rang. I knew the day I have been anticipating for was here. I quickly gave Princess Gabby a bath. It is her weekly ritual. Hmm….ritual or ordeal for her, I wonder? I suppose it is more of a ritual now as compared to few months back as she stands quietly when I bathe her.
So after bathing Princess Gabby and I had my own shower, I went out for breakfast with my parents. After breakfast, Mum and I headed to Mid Valley. I needed to complete my long- over- due- Christmas shopping.
Mid Valley, there I was !!!!!! I was freed from the cage! Like this!!!!!

The deco in Mid Valley
We started off as early as 11am. When I reached the parking, it was 80% full. I managed to get a parking. *Phew*
Oh my, the mall was filled with humans. There were already so many people shopping, walking around and eating at the fast food outlets.
So there I went, from shop to shop; floors by floors.
There were 20 pressies to hunt for yesterday.
I have to admit it was quite mind-challenging and putting my decisive skills in practice. Why did I say that?
It was because: Mind- challenging was because I had to think what would the other party want, was there something which was lacking? Or was it suitable in terms of size and color for the person? Or was it a good buy?
I don’t know, due to the Mega Sales, I found some of the articles left behind were not interesting. Maybe it was because I did my shopping late (Mega Sales is on till end of this month).
For the very first time, I didn’t get a chance to shop during this Mega Sales period. I just don’t have the time to do so. Too many happenings and work load was bad during the transition period. (Nevermind, I get to use the “supposedly spent money” on something else – which I will not disclose now. * Smirk*)
At the end of the shopping thrill, I was sobbing……not because I was broke, but I was really tired!!!!!
I didn’t realize how shopping can get pretty exhausting until yesterday. I figured the reason was because I have to think what pressie to buy and also I was walking for almost 4 hours plus in the mall! (Thank god I was in flats) I ususally don't get tired from shopping OR tired of shopping.
We headed home after having tea. I was feeling a lil’ sleepy. But unfortunately I didn’t have a chance to take a nap. I needed to have a quick shower before hitting out for dinner with the gang. David went with me to meet up with the rest at Taiwan Steamboat Restaurant. We arrived first, so we got the table and waited for Mamma Mia, Sexytary, Dino, Arrow, Chris and Sonny.
Casanova was buying us dinner – to celebrate “Dong Zhi”. The Chinese festive day which we eat “Tang Yuan” (Glutinous rice balls with ginger soup) and it is believed that we will be 1 year older (or shall I say 1 year wiser?).
It was the usual happy-laughing night out. The steamboat was a little different as the pot they used was some sort of balck claypot. I wasn’t sure so I took a picture of it. We ordered dishes for the steamboat and at the end of the session; it was “finale” time. The “finale” was pouring cooked rice into the pot of the remaining soup and let it boil. Raw eggs were added into it. It tasted yummy and it surely reminded me of the Korean BBQ/Steamboat I had in Korea. Their finale was also cooking rice in the soup.
Overall, it was a great Saturday!!!!
I have decided not to on my laptop at all after I got home, despite the fact that I had some work to complete. I just wanted to enjoy my weekend for once, after so long.
That’s all for now, folks!
Till then……
