A Special Night Out

As I was blogging about my Friday, I “prolonged” my Friday till 4.30 this morning.

I left work late, so I was rushing a little. My appointment was at 10.00pm. But, I delayed the meet up time a little. Ooppss..sorry…A girl needs more time to get dressed up. *Sweet smile*

Right, so Jetfighter and I went to Bamboo. We met up with his friends. Ahh..and so I met new people! It was really great to hang out with “new friends”, talk to them and dance till we broke the pitcher. Hahaha…

Bamboo was a so-so place for me. Well, I am not saying that set up wasn’t comfortable or else, but the crowd there. Not rowdy, just that I didn’t get to cuci mata there. Chics weren’t too bad, but blokes…..err……no comments.

And so, SexyJL and I started to hit the dance floor after a few glasses of Dewar. She was my dancing partner for the night. We went crazy! Well, I don’t have the shake and move-it-move-it cells in me, but I cared less. SexyJL and I danced till as if there was no tomorrow. Just move the ass and shake following the beat, baby! (Please don’t think I am still intoxicated, after 8 hours of sleep, I don’t think so)

Gosh, by the time we were all worn-out D&D (drinking and dancing), it was closed to 2.30am. BKT and SexyJL left together with us. The rest of them left earlier than us. Jetfighter and I walked to our car and we lepak-ed in the car for awhile with the air-con on full blast! Both of us enjoyed the cold air, soberly.

Off we went for mamak supper before we said our goodbyes. Reminiscing on our younger days. We chatted and laughed all night long. I still can’t figure out how can we chat and talk about almost everything, anything. Once we start a conversation, it’s difficult to pull the hand break.

It was an awesome night. I’ve never dance till my thighs and hips felt that pain while walking out from the club. Age is catching up perhaps?! Rusty maybe? Hahaha….It was also my first “official” time to have a crazy night like this with Jetfighter since we’ve known each other for 11 years! From the day we left high school till he is now working overbroad (he is back for CNY). In life, it is really tough to have such bonding with a guy without any special feelings (both parties). Maybe it is the chemistry between 2 people?

Still good friends, we are!

What more can I ask for?

Oooh….got to run now.

Ciao!

A Quick Friday

As usual, reached office early this morning and got my laptop running.

Wow, surprisingly not too many emails (only about 15) but some of them required quick response and needed to work on the calculations. Sigh.

The highlight of the day was that my laptop was lazy; not the usual fast processing fellow. Took ages just to open an excel file with only 30kb. What the…?! Seemed like my laptop was on “holiday mood” and resting as well.

I was busy with work, and catching up with all the emails. Had a teleconference with Singapore office and then my boss gave me tutorial lesson to understand the strategies better. So nice of her to do so as she wasn’t feeling too well.

Anyway, time just flew passed so fast.

Oopsss….I got to go now!

The crazy night is soon to start! Need to get ready now!

Have a great weekend, ya!

Ciao!

Day by Day

It is really, truly a great experience (and adventure) to spend your life with someone; to see this someone grow and understanding her day by day. In this case, it’s my Little Gabby.

She has changed quite a bit over the four months.

From.....

1. ....the baby Gabby who howls during wee hours and craving for breakfast anxiously at 6am, to sleeping through the night and not interested with food till 8am.

2. ....the white fur with only one brown spot to many light brown spots on her back.

3. ....a mini bolster size, she grew heavier and stronger!

4. .....a disobedient pup to a smart instructions taker.

Ultimately, from a stranger to a buddy of mine! The bonding between us is stronger as the day goes by.....

Meditation is Good

Meditation and yoga is the in thing nowadays. Everyone seems to be talking about it, and of course most of them are into it…..

…..Even my Little Gabby….

See !!!! She can do it too!

The Reaction of….

As the thunder rolled like a drum, the lightning brightened up the sky in streaks momentarily, the silver transparent drops wet the ground, my Little Gabby longed for protection, from a corner to beneath, and there she felt safe and secured.

Moo's Analysis (in Reality)

Since it is the Year of the Moo, let’s diagnose one.

Happy reading and analyzing the parts of the Moo yeah!

*extracted from Guang Ming Daily*

It has come….to an end….

Ahh……my dear-nice-relaxing-holiday is over. Tomorrow morning at 7am, I will be dreading and dragging my feet back to the office. Unlocking the main glass doors, plugging in my laptop cable and pressing the ON button. No more late nights and no more waking up anytime I feel like it….and no more going out as and when I want to.

Why…Why? Why does the good, enjoyable holiday has to come to an end?

(Sat back and thought for a sec) Hmmm…but then again, just one day in the office and I will have an ENJOYABLE weekend. I know it will be filled with fun and laughter. This weekend is gonna be extraordinary for me!!!!

*Big evil grin*

I am so looking forward towards it….MY WEEKEND will start tomorrow night!

No More Easy Yes(es)

For the very first time, I’ve said “NO”. This time was to an invitation or rather a lunch appointment. I used to be the “Yes Lady” and never had I rejected or turned down a request. Compromise was the word flowing in my bloodstream over the years. Nice & easy, lenient Paula no more, and here comes the-mean-strict-Simon.

Enough is enough. There is a stop (an end) to everything.

I no longer compromise to something and to someone whom I’m not comfortable with; I don’t favour or would I agree with someone on an issue just to make the person feel good.

I am sorry if I sounded rude or selfish. But, ultimately I am doing this because I love and appreciate myself more than anyone else! More than ‘YOU’, that’s for sure.

From Nurturing Fungus to A Fun Day Out

12.45pm.

MMB: Lunch?
Me: Sure. Let’s go.
MMB: Come and pick you up at 1.20pm. See you.
Me: Ok.

It all happened with a blink of an eye. I was planning to sleep at home for the rest of the afternoon. But with MMB’s smses, I don’t think so. Very quickly, off I went to change my clothes and waited for MMB. I hopped onto the Honda and off we went!

We headed straight to Mid Valley as both of us wanted to catch a movie. We were lucky to get a parking lot nearby the entrance. We strutted straight to the cinema, but we were horrified by the snake-long-queue.

We walked away with slight disappointment.

“There is another cinema in the Gardens, right?” uttered MMB.

YES! Let’s go!

And so, we walked over and bought tickets for Bride Wars. There weren’t many choices on the list. It was our first time that we watched a movie in GSC Signature. Not too bad, didn’t have to fight and queue for the tickets, all we had to do was to pay RM4 extra for comfort.

We had a few hours to spend before our movie. Hence, the both of us went SHOPPING and indulged in FOOD!!!!!!

The day went well. The both of us had fun eating, shopping (window shopping) and movies. Ha, we also went looking around at Girl’s Best Friend that blings to the max. Drooling and admiring the cut were the words for both of us….

It has been such a long time since the both of us really had such activities together.

It was one of those unexpected, enjoyable day out!

Thank you for saving me from nurturing fungus at home, bestie!

Legally Yours

After a good sleep (with the help of the beer intake last night), I started my day with running some long-over-due errands. I finally got the chance to change my bank book to a new clean one.

Thereafter, I made a trip to MPSJ to apply for Princess Gabby’s license. I filled up an application form. There was an appendix page attached together with the form. Rule no.7 caught my eyes! Hmm….I thought to myself, who on earth would actually obey this rule?
I know my neighbors always have their little doggies pooping near my house compound as if the area is a great-feng-sui-pooping spot!

Waited for almost 45 minutes before it was my turn. I passed the lady in tudung my application form and the vaccination card as proof. The total application fee was RM15 for 1 year. Ok what, right?

I was really excited about it!

Anyone wants to buy the lucky no?! Toto, 4D Magnum, Dai Ma Cai, up to you. But, if you win the draws, please remember to share some of your prize with me. Hahaha…

Good combo

The natural look, indeed.

What a sight; what a wait

You must be wondering why was there such a crowd? Was there something happened?

Well, nothing at all. It was just people waiting for the pedestrian lights to turn green so that they can cross the road.

Yes, this was the sight in Singapore, Bugis Street.

Rejuvenated

Gosh….I am so well rested. I feel fresh. I went to bed almost 2am last night (or rather this morning) and the best part was I woke up at 1pm!!!!

How many hours of sleep? You do the math !

I woke up in between – once at 7am, then 9am, then 11am and finally at 1pm.

I haven’t done this in ages. To just pigging out (not food wise but sleeping) as much I wanted. I left work behind of my mind and just rest. I got enough rest and am all rejuvenated.

Can I do it again?

*Grin*

Letting it Go

Ghost Town was the DVD that I slapped in before I hit the bed last night.

The story was basically about a dentist, Bertram Pincus. He is a man who is lacked of people skills and doesn’t know how to really socialize around. When he died unexpectedly, but is miraculously revived after 7 minutes, he wakes up and possesses the ability to see ghosts.

Even worse, they all want something from him, particularly Frank Herlihy who pesters him into breaking up the impending marriage of his widow Gwen. That puts Pincus squarely in the middle of a triangle with spirited result.

There was one part of the movie that captured my attention. Gwen’s husband died due to being hit by a bus. She actually knew his infidelity before he passed on, but she didn’t get to clarify the situation with him. Even though she was dating someone else, but she was very disappointed and furious about herself. She blamed herself and had the big question mark in her – what was her lackings? What did she didn’t do well as a wife?

She hasn’t let it go…in this case, her dead husband…

When someone is still hurt and angry about something, is because the person has not let go what is haunting him or her all the while. In this case, her dead husband, Frank was only able to go peacefully when Gwen has let the past go and fell for Pincus.

Should we still hang on to something or should we let it go, so that it will be just part of our past ; part of our memories?

Simple Enjoyment

It is just awesome to enjoy a chilly cool can of beer while blogging at home.....

The Different Sides of Me

Inquisitive, Loving, Playful, Shy, Cheeky, Notty and Greedy for Food are the descriptions, partially at least…

The inquisitive side of me to know how is something being done or on the happenings.....

Haha....learning how to make pau at a pau kitchen.....

The playful side of me....

I Love You

Didn't mistaken that for beer eventhough being playful...it was a glass of oil for a burning light

Cheeky me for choking someone...

The shy me...

Another playful side....while others are serious...

Being playful and adventurous on trying new stuff....

Notty...Naughty....(without any bad intentions)

Can you see the greediness for food?!

Now, you think you know me better?

Food Play

"Yum..yum...."

A plate of shells

A French fried Stick-man

Err...a lil obscene, but yummy...red bean buns and choo cheong fun

This was done by JohnB before he worked on them...

It is a ‘lil bad habit’ that I have since young. Yup, I love to play with the leftovers after I am done with my meal. A way to practice my creativity and surprise the waiter when he comes to clear the plates. =)

I’ve Once Found YoU (Part 2)

As a continuation of my encounters with the different species of living insects, here are a few others that I found while I was going through my digital albums.

A dried up, flattened lizzy without a tail....

The die-ded bug

A beautiful -calm- butterfly

A group of sticky-flies

A little friend whom we used to visit at night at the backyard

Little snail and a little bug

A hardworking ant

Look at the transparent wings...so well - defined...

Another six legged on the board

Mud skipper with chubby cheeks and big round eyes...

A little elongated bug with narrow eyes...

More to come? Maybe, maybe...

Lovingly Thorny

I Loved You,
With a heart filled with thorns.
Sorry.

Messed up

When one’s heart is all in a mess,
It can look as messy as this.

Once Upon Tupid Acts

At times, I just unleash and let myself free…to do some tupid (stupid) things/ acts. Here are some previous doings…..

I'd compare myself with a melon. Does the shape look alike?

Stupidly, I tried reaching out for the cute lil’ cherry tomato with my short tongue….

I laughed hysterically and tend to forget about the crowd around me…

Get a bit more intoxicated and grin away the whole night…It’s really nice to be happy.

Wanna know more? Stay tune, I might just update more acts some day….

Cheers.
