Blissful Weekend with Wedding Bells

Friday

My weekend started with wedding bells ringing. It was my cousin, Catherine’s wedding. Her big day. At the young age of 26, she is happily married to a great man. Their love story began with a simple cup of coffee in London.

We witnessed the church wedding; from the bridal march to exchanging vows and rings to nuptial blessing to signing of the marriage register and finally to the wedding march.

“I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love you and honour you all the days of my life.” “Take this ring as a sign of my love and fidelity. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.”

Everyone was happy and it was laughter and joy all day long. After the church wedding, we adjourned the Aunty Lilian’s house for luncheon. Lunch was good and I enjoyed the ice kacang after having some spicy food!

Saturday

It was the wedding dinner at PJ Hilton. We arrived at 7pm and the night got kicked off with cocktail. I went for the wine…..Before the dinner started; I had 2 glasses of red wine already.

The eventful night was a great gathering session for me and my parents. There were so many relatives gathered outside of the ballroom – some of them flew back to KL from various countries. I had the chance to catch up and meet some of the relatives whom I never knew.

Over dinner, I met up with one of my grand-uncles who lives in Brisbane. He is one cool senior citizen. He asked if I have a partner. I shook my head. He gave me a piece of advice – he told me to list down what I want, what I seek for in a partner and in life. Then pray to God and speak to the Holy Spirit. With faith, the wishes will be granted.
During the dinner, I was also happily snapping away.

Even their eyes smile and sparkled

This is my cousin. He was once with the navy.

The night ended happily. We had a photo with the happily married bride and bridegroom.

At the end of the night, I was quite sleepy, felt dehydrated and gulped down lots of water, and heart pumping really fast…..until I had my bath.

Nights!
