Princess Gabby went for her exam this morning! There were 8 dogs which took the exam together. The exam was for the doggies and also the handlers – meaning I was also involved.
At first, Mr Koo, the examiner briefed us on the sequence of the exam and also what we needed to do. After that, we started with the exam one by one.
Honestly speaking, I kind of lost confidence with Princess Gabby cos’ she is a greedy doggy. She will only listen to instructions if there are food treats given. Too bad, during exams, no food is allowed for the doggy.
Sigh. Jia lat !!
So, I just did what Mr Koo told me to do. I took it as if it was the usual weekly training. I just had to be careful with my footing and hand instructions given to Princess Gabby.
Princess Gabby, the diva. Papparazi taking photos of her....
Exam started with walking her!
Aiyo, look at the diva. Looking at the camera only!
Aiks..Stop for.....marks.
Stand- stay exam. Had to make sure she didn't move when the examiner walked round.
Left Princess Gabby behind (off leash) for a Recall test
Come, Gabby!!!!! YOU better come!!!!! (Please excuse my fat ass)
Do an extra trick to earn 10%. Shook her hand!! Yay!
Final test - Have a chat and have to make sure the doggy is under control.
After approximately 20 minutes, the exam was over. The results were announced immediately after that!!!!!
Firstly was Sunday. He got 53%.
Secondly, Max. Max got 61%
My turn….I already had a number in my mind. But..it was announced at 81%!!!!
81% !!!!!!!! Wooo hooo!!!!!!!
I was jumping with joy (inside me). Princess Gabby got the highest so far?! I just couldn’t believe it.
Somehow she knew she've got good marks.....jumped for joy!
Among the 8 of us, there was a doggy that got the highest point. 88%. 7% more than my Princess Gabby.
What a relieve! I wasn’t hoping for a lot, but at least don’t get the lowest and embarrassed myself.
My princess didn’t embarrass me….hehehehehehehe……..
With Maggie, the trainer for my session. Look a t Princess Gabby, grinning away....
Princess Gabby was rewarded by Mum when she got home. Mum gave her a big piece of pork bone. Yum yum…..
Well, I felt really happy and proud that my lil' doggy did well (unexpectedly). I can now imagine how a parent, who nurtured a child with lots of love and care would feel when the child did well – in school or performed well in activities, succeed in life or even being brought up well! Princess Gabby is just a dog, but she made me realized the feelings and happenings around me, in a unique way.
Next week will be the graduation day! I can’t wait to bring Princess Gabby there to receive her prize. A bag of branded doggy food.
I wonder if there will be a certificate of completion given. Or does Princess Gabby have a graduation gown to put on? (Dream....dream....dream....)
Hahahahaha…….
