My Chinese Niu Year’s Doings

Ok, here is what I have in mind this coming Lunar New Year holiday.

Day 1:
Might have to wake up early for praying and worshiping the Holy One in the morning; as the usual yearly affair for CNY. Then, we will be heading off for breakfast and thereafter start with our visiting. It is time to “bai nian” with the elderly. Should be done by late afternoon (depending on their availability – sound so business related right?).

Day 2:
It’s Daddy’s BIG DAY. So, besides celebrating the Moo Year, we will be also celebrating Daddy’s birthday. Double celebration! Yay! There will be non-stop of luncheons and dinners. Eat, eat and eat.

Day 3:
I think by this day, house-hopping should be slowing down. I should be able to do my own activities. First main aim is to turn into a sleeping piggy and get at least 12 hours of sleep to recuperate on the lost sleep. After being fully energized, I want to catch a few movies – Inkheart, Underworld 3 (may drop this from the list as my colleague said it sucks) and Australia. Sound quite ambitious, right? I might catch up with a few friends; those who I have not seen for ages. Chinese New Year is all about gathering as well, besides collecting Ang Pows! Haha.

Day 4:
Hmmm….I still plan to have 12 hours spent on my sanctuary; my bed with sheets over me. Eh, wait, I just remember I have to send my car in for service in the morning, so maybe after that I can have a long nap in the afternoon. *big grin*. Marley and Me will be out in the cinema, so I might consider catching it too.

By just thinking of my plans during the holidays makes me happy to the brim!

BUT….

I know I will be dreading my feet back to work the next day.

So, how exciting will your Niu Year be?

Wishing all a prosperous new year filled with happiness and good health !!!!
