A Journey to Remember: My First Time…..

To Aquaria, Kuala Lumpur (Jan 08)

……I could remember that it was one of the days during Chinese New Year’s holiday. Me and my-then-boyfriend went to Aquaria in the heart of the city. It was a good experience checking out the giant and various tanks with all sorts of colorful and several exotic fishes. Chambered Nautilus was one of them...

I also got to see Malaysia’s ever first Ferris Wheel (Eyes on Malaysia) in Lake Titiwangsa.

To Bali, Indonesia (Mar 08)

…..that I went to Bali early 2008 for a company trip for 4 days 3 nights. It was my first time to Bali, Indonesia. The best thing was air fare with Air Asia, hotel accommodation at Kuta Paradiso Hotel, local tours and food were all paid for.

I had a very enjoyable trip to Bali. It was an eye-opener experience, that’s for sure.

And, for the first time, I won the Best Dress Award. The theme was Masquerade on The Red Carpet. I received a pewter trophy and cash prize. Yay!

A Visit to Tien Hou Temple (Apr 08)

…..visiting this temple on a weekend. The sun was up and shining. A very hot day it was. There were couples in the temple tying the knot.

Got very involved with an Event (Apr 08)

…to be part of the committee team to organize the biggest event of the year for my company. I’ve used 9 months to prepare the event and it turned out great! No complains but compliments were the outcome of the event. I was in cloud nine. All my hard work didn't go down the drain.

Korean Barbeque At Home (June 08)

My adventurous ex-boyfriend and I started to have Korean Barbeque at home. In the garden, to be precise. We used to shop at Korean shops for sliced meat, marinating sauces and etc. Those were quiet-yet-fun supper nights!!!! We got hooked on it back then!

Carcosa Seri Negara (Aug 08)

……to Carcosa Seri Negara. I went for a seminar organized by The Star. We were one of the sponsors for the seminar. The beautiful area surrounded with tall shady trees, lush greeneries as fence and rustic window panes in the nostalgia English building. I felt as if I was in one of the European countries or it had brought me back to the English colonial times...

Interview with MYFM (Aug 08)

The whole radio program was about getting to know more about my event – the one I slogged for the past 9 months. It was a national competition that my company organized. The Grand Winner was being interviewed on air.

I was just there to accompany her; but unexpectedly…. Heart was pounding very fast when I was being interviewed by the DJ for MYFM. I was invited to say a few words on national radio!

Trip to The Land Below the Wind (Sept 08)

A couple of friends and I went to Kota Kinabalu for a vacation. 4 days 3 nights.

Form Foot of Mount Kinabalu to Poring Hot Spring to jungle tracking to the hanging bridge to Honey Bee Farm to Gong making village to Tip of Borneo to Longhouse to Sapi and Manukan Island.

Paragliding was one of the unforgettable experiences in KK. I got to see the blue sky and dipped into greenish blue sea water. The freedom of being in the air for 10 minutes with RM90.

Short Trip to Malacca (Early Nov 08)

It was my company’s annual meeting in Equatorial Hotel, Malacca. I’ve stayed there before but it was surely my first time taking photos under water (in the pool) and also boozing all night long till 5am in the room with a bunch of fun colleagues!

Jazzing Night Out (End Oct 08)

…..stepping my foot into Bangkok Jazz, KL for a performance by Dennis Lau, the violinist and Yuri Wong. Xandria and Susan invited me to join them for the eventful night. A great night out with the ladies and the boys!

Spreading my Love (End Sept 08)

……signing the papers with PAWS!!!! I adopted a puppy. It was one of the bestest thing that I have done in the year! It was high time to have a dog in da house to protect us from evil and also I needed company ever since the break up. I was really depressed back then. I actually felt good pouring my endless love on Princess Gabby. She lit up my life and brought laughter,happiness back into my life; my family too.
