KY so wanted to watch The Spirit, when he was here couple of weeks ago. It is half price for him because he earns SGD.
The Spirit it was and we went for it.
KY gave me a brief introduction about the movie. He told me that this movie was written and directed from Frank Miller. It is based on a famous American comic book.
My 2 cents worth: The movie was really a cartoon. The main character, The Spirit, wears a black mask, a super CNY red tie and florescent colored canvas shoes?! Oh man, just didn’t suit Gabriel Macht at all.
The actions and storyline was quite crappy. Quite a few scenes were censored. KY was shocked that just a short kissing scene got censored off! I whispered to him: “Yup, that’s how its like to pay RM10 for a movie in Malaysia.”
But one thing I liked about the movie was the cast. Samuel L. Jackson was the villain, Scarlett Johannsson and Eva Mendes were both the sexy femme fatales.
At the end of the movie, we left the cinema with disappointment in us.
