Morning Call

My alarm rang at 10am. I walked 3 steps from my bed, just to get my mobile phone and off the alarm. I placed the phone beside me, unconsciously.

Off I went back to La-La Land…..

I could still remember clearly that I dreamt I was back in Sydney. I was walking on the streets and wanted to go to Paddington Markets. The dream was perfect until………

...........Sexy Lady was playing loudly beside my ear!

Shit! At 11am?!

Who on earth with the right mind is calling at this time! On a Saturday?! It was some KL number flashing on the screen…just to stop the phone from ringing and not being rude to other party, I answered with a “sotong” voice.

Me: Helllllo..
Girl: Hello Ms Grace, I am calling from Maxis. I would like to inform you that I've sent in
your number for a draw and you have won a RM 10 rebates off your next month’s
bill.
Me: Okay. Thanks. (Still with the sotong voice)
Girl: So, Ms Grace, did you receive a text message from us, informing you on this
cash rebates? Are you happy with the cash rebates?
Me: (started to feel irrirated) YES
Girl: Ok, thank you for your time, Miss Grace.
Me: Thanks.

(Hung up right after that)

Damn, I only managed to sleep for another 30 minutes and I couldn’t stay in La-La Land. My mind started to work and I knew I had to bathe Princess Gabby…..

I lazed around on the bed with covers over me, right up to my neck.

12 noon. I got off the bed, reluctantly.

I washed up and walked down stairs. Princess Gabby, who was playing in the hall, let go the ball from her mouth when she saw me walking down. She ran towards me as if she was greeting me “Good morning”.

Mum saw me and asked: “What’s wrong with you?”

I was again blur like sotong, answered her : “Huh?! What’s wrong?”

Mum replied with a question: “Why are your eyes swollen? You cried ah?”

Aiyoo……I am already so tied down with work and dead tired, where do I find the time and for what reasons to cry?!

I replied: “Nolar, I’m just very tired and didn’t have enough rest.”
