I was the BIG boo boo because I made a BIG boo boo.
So, what happened?
It all started on Thursday evening; just about half and hour before it was time to go home. My HR walked over to fetch some water in the kettle and she casually asked me: “Tomorrow you are on leave, right?” I looked away from my screen and gave her a blur and blank look with a reply: “No, I am working. MG is the one who is on leave.”
Later, before we knew it, we had a funny “argument”. She INSISTED that Friday was my day off, while I kept on INSISTING a NO. So, to stop the silly funny argument over a day off, she headed back to her room to check my application form.
*Tut….Tut….Tut….*
(My phone was ringing)
Me: Hello?
HR: I’ve checked your application form and you ARE on leave tomorrow.
Me: Oh, really? How can I totally forgotten about it? I didn’t even jot it down on my calendar.
Aiyoyoyo…silly…
HR: (in a joking manner) Well, if you don’t want the approved leave, you can transfer it to

me…hehhahahahahah
Me: Hmm…good idea but provided the company compensate me with $$$$. I don’t mind

coming back to work.
HR: (laughing all the way….) Oklar, remember that you are on leave tomorrow…
Me: Yup, thanks a lot for confirming it for me!
Great! A day off. I told my boss that I will check a proposal with her on Friday, but now I am on leave? I took out my phone and punched in a few lines then pressed “Send” button.
My boss replied: Yes, I know you are on leave. Wanted to ask you why will you be coming in to the office….
OMG!!!! Even my boss was aware that I am on leave on Friday. *Pai seh*.
Anyway, I replied her that I will be in in the morning till I am done with whatever is needed to be completed. She was fine with it.

Friday morning.
I woke up at my usual time and headed for work. My objective was to get all the “urgent” work out of the way latest by 12noon.
Right, so I did what I’ve planned. I left work at 12noon. Right on the dot!
I made a phone call before stepping out of the office.
Me: Pa, do you and Ma want to have lunch? I forgot that I am on leave today and I am leaving office now. I made a boo boo…
Pa: We are going to church. Hold on, you speak to Ma. (I think he must be shaking his head
disappointed over there when I told him I totally forgotten about my day off)
Me: Ma, (I giggled all the way) I totally forgotten that I am actually on leave today. I am

Ma: Aiyo..you ah...how can you forget that you are on leave? Yea, we are going for The Way

go for lunch together.
Ma: Okay.
Right, so we met up in church. After mass, we had lunch and I asked Pa to take my laptop home. I needed to go to One Utama to get something. Ma went with me.
I strutted to the shop MG told me about. I got myself a mobile wireless broadband device. I needed it for my work.
After settling the registration and payment, I met up with Ma again. She was checking out some SK II products at Jusco.
The clock was already showing 3.30pm. Ma and I decided to go yum char. There weren’t anything else to buy from One Utama except for the device I wanted.
The both of us went to Cravings.
These were what we had to fill our tummy.
A cup of chinese tea, Calamansi juice, chee cheong fun and yam cake
Both of the dishes we ordered were not too bad. Quite delicious. The sambal was spicy enough and the yam cake was made of genuine yam unlike others. We could taste the actual yam taste in it and not some artificial powder.
I enjoyed my calamansi juice. It was really refreshing. I drank it so fast that I had brain freeze for a minute.
Aiyak….aiyak…..pain… ^_^

Ma told me that her feet was feeling a lil tired. She wanted to go for foot reflexology. I remembered that we walked passed a Thai Massage when we came in from the car park. So, the both of us made our way there, Thai Odyssey.
The price list
We chose the 45 minutes for RM45 Foot Massage session. The place was filled with aromatherapy oil scent and it was quite dimmed. I paid the bill before our session started.
And so the ritual started as we stepped in. We had our feet washed and we sat ourselves on the bench provided. When the masseurs came attended to us….the enjoyment started.
The massage was quite painful but it later turned to a form of enjoyment. Please don’t think that I am a sadist. I am not. I find the pain quite comfortble and it relaxes my muscles and feet from the everyday-wear-high-heels-and-walk-a- lot- feet.
I’ve tried Chinese (those from China), Balinese and Malay masseurs but it was really my first time trying out Thai masseur; Thai massage. It was GOOD. For the very first time, I dozed off.
Mum had to wake me up twice as I acknowledged for the first time, but fell back to sleep. The massage session was already over. Oh….I woke up and walked to get my sandals.
The both of us headed for home and that was when we got in a after-work-traffic-jam………

Diva’s conclusion: It is a MUST to JOT DOWN every day off that we’ve applied for, so that we can plan our work smartly.
