As I was driving to church yesterday, mum wanted to go to Gardens after mass. I told her that I can’t go with her as I needed to get some work done and email it to my boss. So, dad had to go with her.
Mum: “ How come you have to work on Sunday? Why didn’t you get it done yesterday or earlier?”
Me: “Well, cos’ I decided to take a break yesterday and not do anything?”
Mum: “Aiyah, next time finish it first if you have work to do.”
Me: “Work cannot be finished. Noone likes to work on weekends. Weekends are supposed to be rest day. But no choice lar…”
Coincidently, the priest was talking about Sabbath Day during his sermon. He was referring to the reading from Exodus. “God created the world…..the seventh day is supposed to be a rest day. Noone is allowed to do anything……”
Yeah, I surely pray for a good Sabbath Day always.
