The Terrifying Moment

A very quick note about the SCARY incident that just happened.

As I was enjoying my packed lunch at my cubicle, I heard a very high-pitch-chirping sound. I thought it was just me imagining sounds initially….until….

…I looked up!!!!

There was a bird standing at the cubicle in front of me! It was happily standing there and chirping, as if it was enjoying the cool air con room and the serene environment. Later, it started to hop around - from one cubicle to another....

OMG!!! I freaked out..totally.

Coincidently, my colleagues went down for a ciggy break. I was so hoping that they would come back ASAP, like RIGHT NOW to my rescue!!! But, no. I waited quietly and stopped all motions; just to not get its’ attention. The waiting period was about few minutes, but I felt as if it took forever.

Later, I heard footsteps. I was so happy and shouted: “Choo, please help!!!! There is a bird in our office!!! Please shoo it away.”

My dear colleague doesn’t like birds, so ended up the both of us stayed put at my cubicle. MG walked in and I asked her for the same favour. She laughed and opened the rest of the windows and started shooing the bird out.

When it finally flew out the window, I was relieved! My goose bumps subsided slowly. We quickly closed all of the opened windows.

Lesson learnt: Never ever leave the windows open regardless how cold the office is. Let’s chill to death than having a bird in the office and get terrified to death.
