(Note that I’ve written about this before in my previous blogsite. Just in case, you’ve read something similar.)
Birds may seem to be usually ignored as friendly or harmless. But to me, it is otherwise.
Birds are not the charming and cute lil’ creature that most people would think as. I find them quite a horrid and scary. Why?! Because they have feathers which are so geli and a beak which can attack someone anytime. Generally, I find them quite hostile.
The main cause or reason that I am ornithophobic is that I had a terrifying nightmare about 20 to 22 years ago. Yes, that long ago, but the flashback of the dream stayed fresh in my mind.
I was in a big dark forest. The trees' trunks were thick and the roots emerged from the ground. It was as if the trees were hundred over years old. Branches were over laying like giant umbrellas or canopies. A big flock of black birds were chasing after me from the back. I was running for my life.
All alone in the forest, running and wailing and shouting on top of my lungs….I was practically like an insane girl, horrified, screaming and dodging from the black evil creatures above me. No one heard me, not a single soul was there to extend a helping hand.
Later, little black birds started popping their heads up from the ground. I then started to watch my steps as I was running for my life!
I could still remember that I was talking and shouting when I was having the dream. I wondered how long the torment went on for until I woke up.
From then onwards, I look at birds in a very skeptical way and with hatred.
Many years later, I found out that there was actually a movie by Alfred Hitchcock. The 1960s movie was entitled: “The Birds”.

Here is a synopsis of the creepy movie: (extracted from moviefone.com)
The story begins with an innocuous romantic triangle involving wealthy, spoiled Melanie Daniels, handsome Mitch Brenner and schoolteacher Annie Hayworth. The human story begins in a San Francisco pet shop and culminates at home of Mitch’s mother at Bodega Bay, where the characters’ sense of security is slowly eroded by the curious behavior of the birds in the area. At first, it’s no more than a seagull swooping down and pecking at Melanie’s head. Things take a truly ugly turn when hundreds of birds converge on a children’s party. There is never an explanation as to why the birds have a run amok, but once the onslaught begins, there’s virtually no letup.

See what I mean?
After doing some research on the internet, apparently Alfred used real birds for the movie and not fake ones for a more realistic show. Gosh! I would have fainted even those birds were specially trained. I would just go hysterical if I was the actress. So please be understanding if you ever see me looked a bit emo and over reacted when there is a bird nearby…
