The Actual Reasons for Loving Someone

“I Love You.”

Come to think of it -we love someone, some people for a reason. The love feeling was developed because of several factors. It could be because that particular person cares for our well being; or it could be because the person provides us with what we want in life.

Family love
We love our parents because they brought us to this world. They’ve brought us up well, regardless whether it was through good or bad times; whether their had to slog through the hard times just to give us a roof over our head. Our parents have provided us with good education, nutritious meals and most importantly – a warm loving home. They have also stood by us all the time – through thick and thin and providing valuable advices.

Friendly love
Our friends are the people who we cherish as well. We chat, play and being there for our friends and vice versa. True friends will be there to hear out our ups and downs and lend their shoulder for us to cry on.

Boyfriend-girlfriend love
We love our partner because they treat us well. They make us feel good and loved. We enjoy their company and the happy moments together. We love his/her character or the compatibility. The concern and little thoughts/ surprises that they have for us, just leave us with a big smile plastered on our face, from ear to ear at the end of the day.

So, perhaps we should put on our thinking cap – why do we love the people we love? Is it purely because we love them unconditionally or is it for the tangibles and intangibles that we received? Will we love someone who treats us like crap and doesn't care about our feelings or well being?
