I woke up feeling not too well yesterday morning. Despite the fact that I took Actifect the night before, my flu was still with me. My body was aching all over.
I drove to work anyway. The meeting was all in my mind.
I managed to do some of my work before the meeting started. However, I started to shiver and felt so cold typing on my laptop. My fingers were all numb. On top of my jacket, I wrapped myself round like a sausage (only my neck) with my black shawl.
I was still feeling cold. I was still sneezing non stop. I started to have a headache.
I was practically suffering through that ¾ day of management meeting in the meeting room. I was so not myself yesterday. Lunch was bland tasting (I guess I’ve got my taste buds malfunction for the day). All I wished for was the meeting to end as soon as it can. I so wanted to leave early to see a doctor.
The meeting finally ended at 3.30pm. I continued with my work to submit before my boss leaves for her business trip. By the time I was done with my work and reports to regional office, the clock on my laptop was showing 5.30pm.
I was really feeling like crap by end of the day in the office.
Sigh !!!!!
No difference from working full day. Kononnya, wanted to leave early!
6pm, I drove out from the office and headed to the usual clinic that I go to. It had been quite a long time since I last drove to the place (which is good, means I was healthy..Hehhehee). Somehow the streets and the drive there brought back memories…..
I registered myself and was called into the consultation room after a few minutes. I told the doctor how I was feeling……he gave me some stronger medication for my fever, flu and body ache. I asked for 1 day medical leave but instead he gave me 2! He encouraged me to rest more. Hmm…I was thinking to myself: Do doctors have quota to meet for giving medical leave? Why was he so generous with it?
I wonder………
Ok, so I went home thereafter. My body was painful all over. Gosh, I feel like an old lady…hahaha…Forehead was really hot too! I went out for a quick dinner with Ma and Pa.
These are my “sweets” to ease my pain and torment.
Had a quick, hot water bath and changed into my PJs. I plopped myself on the bed and had the comforter pulled right up to my neck.
Soon, I started to dozed off. I supposed the medication started to kick in….
