How we want our life to be is us deciding it – happy and jolly most of the time, or merely just being contented with what we have and how our life is. Life is also based on the choices made and the route we decide to take.
Everyday, we make decisions; regardless small or major issues. When we are on the road, we have to decide which route to take to avoid the bad traffic; which turn to take when we come to a crossroad – left, right or straight? How do you decide?
It is normal for us to also decide which restaurant we want to dine it. Which outlet will bring a smile to your partner or what someone wants their palette to taste? Ambience or good food with a reasonable price? How do you choose?
On a shopping spree with an allocated budget, and there are 2 pretty dresses. Which would you pick? One white and the other black and both look good on you! And there you are, holding both hangers in your hands, how would you choose as you can’t blow your budget?
A 17 year old, just completed high school. Which college would he choose? Based on the similar courses being offered, will he choose the one which his friends go to, or the one within his parent’s budget to build a bright future?
Job hunting. It is a decision making for a future – a major one. How would someone know until he or she is in the company? It can’t be based on the outlook of the company or the convincing and promising interview sessions. Will the company be a good career path? Will there be a chance to get promoted or an increment in salary? What will someone use to make the decision?
There are many aspects in life that we just need to sit down and really ponder on – how we want to walk down the path given and how do we want walk it? Is it a gracious and confident one or running around like a headless chicken, directionless?
Think and consider well on all the decisions made and to be made. Once we have made the decision, stick to it and regardless how indecent the outcome is, embrace it and go through it with courage. Learn from it. It all depends on the way we look at a problem.
“A problem may not be a problem, unless we take it as one.”
