Let’s back track a little.
It was an impromptu plan. I was still working on my laptop till around 7.20pm last Saturday till I received a call. A call from one of my besties – MoneyMagnetBabe. (The thing about me is, I like to pre-plan my time for activities; as I would know what time do I have to get ready, time and place that I need to meet somebody, and what sort of fun is installed for me.....)
MMB: Hey, what are you doing?
Me: Working. But going out for dinner soon.
MMB: Want to catch a movie?
Me: Err…(hesitated) Don’t want ler, I want to work wor cos’ I’ve planned to go out tomorrow. I would like to shop for a handbag. Mine is time for a change…going to koyak already.
MMB: Oh…..then nevermind ler…
(I called back after giving some thoughts. I can put the handbag shopping on hold for the time being.)
**Scrolled through my phonebook in my mobile. Tut…Tut…..**
Me: I’ve changed my mind. Let’s go.
MMB: (cheered with joy) Okay. What movie?
Me: Anything ler…wait wait. I have the papers in front of me. (And so, I picked up The Star and flipped to the cinemas listing page and read out the movies titles…)
Later, we came to a conclusion to just hit Cineleisure at The Curve and see what tickets were still available.
I had a quick dinner with my family, then I was off to MoneyMagnetBabe’s house. Off we went for movies! Yay! We hit the cinema once we parked our car. Gosh, it was full of people at the counters! Anyhow, we managed to get tickets and we watched “He is just not THAT into you”. The movie had quite a few big stars acted in it..like Jennifer Aniston, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Connelly, and Drew Barrymore.
The movie started at midnight and so we walked around and bought some stuff before queuing up for our all time favourite, popcorns!
From the title itself, we already have an indication what the movie is about. There were tips for the movie-goers on what sort of hints that either a guy or a girl would give when the interest level had depreciated. And at certain circumstances, the more a person rejects, the more the other party tends to get more interested (this mostly applies to MEN as they love challenges in life. They must get the girl who has turned down their requests or dates or ignored their phone calls. Men’s natural hunting instinct, I supposed?). But at times, the persistency can really be PIA (Pain in the Ass)….what do you think?
Anyway, the movie was about 2 hours long and by the time we reached home, it was close to 2.30am. Feeling contented with my weekend activity, I washed up and hit the bed as I needed to wake up early for Easter Mass.
Hey, an impromptu plan is sometimes not too bad afterall! I feel nice and happy to have some little surprises or unexpected happiness at times!
Ciao!
