A Joyous Monday Morning

Today marks the day of happiness. Blissful and joyful are the words to describe ‘the day’.

LawyerLawyer picked me up this morning and off we headed to Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara (JPN). It was the BIG day for our dear bestie – 5th Fookie. Her R.O.M (Registrar of Marriage).

It was my second time stepping my feet into Putrajaya; the huge government township. The buildings are quite “canggih” but the streets also are quite confusing. We finally managed to find our way there and we hurried to Level One as we didn’t want missed the memorable moment. (Aerosmith's mouth suddenly came to my mind, singing- "I don't want to miss a thing.....")

The rest of the “sisters” were already there. I gave 5th Fookie a blessed hug when I saw her. I was really happy for her! We waited approximately 15 to 30 minutes and it was their turn to take the vow and sign the papers.

Me, being the excited and inquisitive one, followed into the room and ‘kay poh’ how was it done. How a couple of minutes would turn 2 people into a couple (for life). Wow, to my amazement, there were actually 3 different cultural setup deco at 3 different corners for the newly-weds to take photos.

We waited for awhile before the civil officer came into the room. So, we grabbed the opportunity to snap a few photos! Hahaha….

It only took a few minutes before the vows were said and the papers were signed. After the civil officer left, we had photo sessions again! Serious one and also of course a fun, naughty one.

We are just overjoyed with the event!

Later, we adjourned to Putrajaya Seafood Restaurant for lunch. The drive there was quite an adventure as it was an eye opener to explore Putrajaya this way. =)

We chatted and laughed endlessly over lunch (all Fookies and photographers had one table to ourselves, not bad right?). We also planned for a future event coming up soon!

*Grin*

All of us, the Fookies, took some photos with the bride on this memorable happy day before we said our goodbyes with a filled-up-to-the-brim-tummy.

Picture perfect!

Now, we look forward to see the pretty photo albums and to attend the wedding dinner!

** We’ve known 5th Fookie since we were 13. Over the years, we have been through thick and thin, fun and joy. Congratulations, 5th Fookie & KM !!! **
