It’s 12.34 am now…what a nice number!
I am all intoxicated now. Let me tell you about my day…
It was a wet wed (wet Wednesday) again….and I woke up before the alarm rang. I knew traffic would get worse if I leave the house any later. So, very quickly, I washed up and put on the little black dress and stockings before I walked out from my room.
Drove to work, realizing that I forgot to take my breakie while driving, so I unlocked the main door and booted up the laptop once I reached office. Grabbed my handbag and went out to the mamak for a quick breakie.
Started doing my work and my teleconference with Singapore was cancelled because the person was on MC. So, I quickly looked up my mentor to update her on the happenings while she was away and also to discuss with her on the projects on hand. I needed to seek advice and alignment from her before I proceed further…..
I think I went into her room at 10.30am and I came out close to 1.30pm. We went for lunch and headed back.
Oh gosh, 3 hours just flew by and I was out of the office. I had an event to attend in KL. It was Marie Claire’s Women of Style and Substance Award. AC, Johnny Boy and I went in 1 car. We met up in Bangsar for some food because we assumed that only finger food and drinks will be served at the event… (and we were right about it! The food was catered from Nikko Hotel by the way.)

We reached the venue at about 6.30pm. It was still early, so we had a drink at Old Town Kopitiam….till 7pm, then we walked to Menara Hap Seng – the Mercedes showroom. The place looked very classy. We stood at the backdrop and had a photo taken! Felt like a celebrity, for a moment! (Perasan case..hahahah)
I was enjoying the drinks once we found a place to rest our butts. I had from vodka orange to baileys and back to vodka….ahh….nice! It had been a long long long time since I attended an event.
Baileys, and not milk, okay..
Me & Jojo
The event started and there were a couple of performances. Atilia sang and there were kids doing tap dancing. Cool!
We chit chatted and screened through the ‘fashionistas’ there (sorry to say that, it was really amusing). There were some really pretty and elegant ones…and of course, there were some….hmm..errr…..you know my answer lah. I also bumped into a few business associates there, namely Khoon Hooi (fashion designer), Sheng Saw (make up artist) and Wei Chun (fashion stylist). It was great to see them again after so long since our last project. We chatted for a while.
We hung out till about 9.30pm and excused ourselves. AC was feeling a little hungry and so she suggested eating beef noodles at Jalan Alor/Jalan Tong Shin as ‘supper’. Apparently, it is a famous beef noodles and beef balls in town!
On the way there....
Yay! I got to eat at a new place (to me at least). So, we walked from the car park with full of pebbles in our heels and made our way there….yummy! The beef balls were really GOOD. Worth the walk!
We paid up. Johnny Boy dropped us at AC’s house. I left my car at her house. Her hubby had some friends over, and she invited me to join in. I rejected at first, but her hubby persuaded me to sit down and enjoy a glass of wine….hmm….Ok, invite accepted!
He served me white wine. Yes, second round of booze...I don’t quite fancy white wine because I find it pretty dry, but this one…it tasted very different and smooth….and it had a sort of flower scent. Very lovely drink!
So, meeting him for the second time and first time for his friends, we soon started great conversations – from anything, everything under the ‘moon’. We were talking about music and songs, Michael Jackson, gays and lesbians, clubs and even religions! Hahahaa….yea, believe it or not?
As I was enjoying myself, the time didn’t stop clicking. It was close to 11.30pm. All of us made a move as we need to work tomorrow. I drove home and had my bath…
I had a great night out. From an event to beef noodles to wine ….Ahh..what more can I ask for?
Ok, I better hit the bed now.
Good night, everyone. Sweet dreams!
