At times when I felt like having a drink or meeting up with my buddies, all of us will be cracking our heads for a meeting point. Where to go? What to eat?
Now, I don't get frustrated with it anymore. Because I have found the perfect place to do so!
Kopitiams have been sprouting around town like nobody's business. However, there are certain kopitiams not as great as this one that I am going to blog about…..I have tried many different kinds of kopitiams like one of the pioneers – Old Town; and others like Lorong Seratus Tahun, K3K and so on…
…But….
Pappa Rich is still the best! You must be wondering why and what is the difference?
If you do want to try it out someday, do try the newly opened outlet in SS15, Subang Jaya (located opposite of Taylor’s College or beside Studylink). There are other Pappa Rich outlet in Sunway Pyramid and Taipan, but to me, those places are just way to jam to go to.
To me, Pappa Rich has a wider spread of menu. Their food taste better and the drinks – quite a fair bit of varieties to choose from and rather innovative because they even have detox drinks! What creative is that for a kopitiam? Later on, there will be more new stuff added to the menu which is my favourite! Let’s wait and look out for them.
When the waiter passed me the menu book, I was very impressed with it. It is not just a piece of laminated menu, but a very tastefully done menu book with gloss printed and an embossed hard cover.
Anyway, the char koay tiao, curry noodles and kuay teow th’ng in this outlet is yummy. I have yet to try out their nasi lemak, but one day….one day I will be digging -in the rice. Oh, if you are a bread lover like me, then you must try out the Mexican Bun and Pappa Steamed Bread. The texture of the bread is soft with melted butter...Ooo….by just blogging about it now makes me drool…
Besides good food, the ambience and environment is very important to me too. I love the songs they play, very relaxing and soothing. The place is cozy, clean and proper. The staffs are friendly too! The order sheet is simple and there is even an extra column for you to state any remarks – for example, you prefer to have your drink with less ice, your food with no spring onions and etc…a slightly personalized menu?
So, I don’t see there is any other reason to stop me from patronizing this outlet in SS15. The late evening and night view of this place is just awesome! It just makes me feel as if I am sipping on a cuppa in Europe, especially when I sit outside, watching the world passes by! Great environment, yummlicious food with a reasonable price, what else does one demand?
The cosy corner outside
