What an Unexpected Exciting Day !

It was an ‘exciting day’ at work today.
My day started off quite alright until we had a meeting and had an announcement in the morning.

Thereafter, I was practically in-and-out of my cubicle – jumping from it to the conference room next to my cubicle; carrying my laptop in and out for a two-hours teleconference at 12pm and later in the day to do an unexpected presentation!

Shit! Presentation?! And with only 2 hours notice given? Hmm….I kind of panicked as I was not presenting to my colleagues, but to external parties!!!! Damn….

So, I quickly got my slides organized in between doing my other work and hopped into the room at 3pm. My mentor did an introduction and it was my turn to speak!

Well, I can’t be fidgeting and seemed panicking in front of them, so I (tried to) keep my calmness. Surprisingly when I was presenting, I didn’t have the ‘stage fright’ or butterflies in my stomach (as I am not quite a natural speaker). I just presented whatever that is in my library (my knowledge). Hmm…after the preso was done, I passed it back to my mentor to present her part.

Phew! What a relieve. I felt nice. I felt good. I was happy that the ‘audience’ understood what I was presenting and paid attention to the message I conveyed across.

Okie, my stomach is starting a mini concert in there. I better finish my email and call it a day. I need food!

Have a great evening, everyone!
