1st Day of Sun, Sand and Seafood

As I mentioned in my previous blog entry that this weekend would be a blissful one. I was very right.

Before I start sharing my journey with you to the place with sun, sand and seafood, I would like to thank God for bringing us home safely, great weather, great timing and for the great companionship that I had for the trip.

Also, I am very proud of myself! As I always say: There is always a First Time to everything. There are a lot to experience and to explore in life.

Yuppers! For the very first time, I drove to and fro to Cherating. I was behind the wheel. I was the designated driver! This is the first time ever that I drove outstation and I made it! I didn't fish while driving. (I always tend to fall asleep easily, being a passenger in the car while traveling)

It was a long journey but I didn’t feel quite so. Probably I was really excited about this trip and also had the reminder behind of my head that I have a responsibility for 4 lives. We chatted and laughed all the way to Cherating. We drove passed Cheras, Karak Highway, passed by the foot hill of Genting, and so on….all the way to hit the new highway and reached our destination.

When all of us arrived, it was already almost 4pm. We unloaded all of our bags and food and other necessities with the help of the bellboy. We checked ourselves into 2 connecting rooms. Of course, me being me, I quickly snapped a few photos to officiate this trip. Hahaha….

The bed....

A nice spot for great chats

Enjoying the cool breeze

Our food supply

More food...and snacks

Right, so after we rested for awhile, it was time to hit the beach and later the pool. While we were walking from our room to the beach, there was a patch of reflexology stony tiles. We tried walking on it and it was so ticklish! Funny funny…. Pain Pain...

Ticklish!

Under attacked!

While we were at the beach lepaking, I was being under attacked, out of the blues. It was sand war!!! Ok, I was dodging on the beach and yet trying to fight back! I managed to hit my target! Hahhaa…

After about an hour playing on the beach and soaking ourselves in the sea, we hit the pool. We rinsed ourselves with the shower besides the pool and we walked slowly to the pool and slipped ourselves into the waters – like penguins.
I swam a few laps as I missed swimming in a pool and soaking myself in the pool on a warm day. Ahh….what an enjoyment! We started fooling around in and by the pool with all sorts of stupid acts. Of course, we took lots of photos too!
Resting after the sand war

Feeling tired after a few laps...

We headed back to the room when the sun started to set. Our growling stomach was the indication of hunger. We quickly cleaned up ourselves and walked out to the nearby restaurant for dinner. We were starving.

We ordered lots of dishes.

Check out what we had for dinner.

Stuffed crabs

Kang Kong with sambal belacan

Steamed parrot fish! Yummers!!!!

Sing Kong Tofu

Baked Mantis Prawn

Quite succulent!

Asparagus soup with crab meat

Yummy! The dishes were not too bad. The highlight of our dinner and the “bestest” tasting food was the steamed parrot fish. The meat was really fresh and there was no ‘fishy’ stale smell. Ooo…perhaps you should try ordering it when you visit the coastal area next time.

Before we headed back to the hotel, photo session again!!!!

When we were back to the room, we quickly cooperate to set up our nest. We had to share bed and laid out our sleeping bags. We got comfortable.

Again, it is my first time slipping myself and sleeping in a sleeping bag! See, another great experience there!

Felt like a rolled up sausage

We continued with our chats and laughters till late night……

I had a mission the next morning…..

Watch out for it soon!
