090909 is supposed to be an “auspicious day”. It is the last set of single digit dates that we will see for almost a century.
Modern numerologists defined 090909 as a final numeral, the number nine holds special rank. It is associated with forgiveness, compassion and success on the positive side. Sept. 9 also happens to be the 252nd day of the year (2 + 5 +2) = Loving 9
Hmm….I wonder how true it is? 9 = forgiveness, compassion and success. Well, personally I agree to 9 is associated with success, but forgiveness and compassion….
Anyway, 090909 will mark the day for many couples to tie the knot. In Chinese's believe or culture, 9 means longetivity and eternity. There will be also people sending flowers to their loved ones with 9, 99, or 990 stalks of flowers? (Wah…good money for the florists)
Besides this, opportunists and marketers would grab hold of this day to run promotions to gain more sales ( = $$$$). There might be promotions by companies retailing their end products at $99.99 or $999.99 and so on….(Anyway, some consumers tend to think it is still considered below $10 as the first digit got in contact with their eyes is 9.)
Well, if 090909 is really an auspicious day, then those who start work at 8 or 8.30am should start work at 9am. Everyone who wants to live longer, should eat or sleep at 9pm…..
