While I am waiting for the traffic to clear out there, I might as well write a ‘report’ on one of my recent event.
Wella Professionals Personalised Trends 2009 consists of four fashion looks inspired from Trend Vision 09 (TV09). While TV09 outlines the emerging shapes and hottest creations, Wella Professionals Personalised Trends 2009 takes these looks and translates them to high street fashion styles. The transition began in the Wella Studio in Milan, where Europe’s top stylists, descended to create the hottest 2009 hair trends. Styles were created not only from the Trend Vision 09 looks, but with inspiration from upcoming hit movies, the latest salon trends and leading celebrity looks.
Wella Professionals Personalised Trends 2009 hit salons worldwide from January 2009 highlighting the future direction of salon styles for the year. Each style has been created so it can be truly personalised and suit any face shape, skin tone or preference, meaning that every woman can wear these hot new looks.

Utopia: The new pure blonde is the cleanest of all blonde looks, seen in airy cuts and styles.
Intersexion: A play of round & square cuts and cool colours with a crystal, long-lasting shine finish in just 5 minutes.
Virtual Life: The youngest of all trend looks with accentuating 3D color effects that make a statement in flexible styles.
De Lush: Feminine waves and rich curves in complete anti-frizz control and warm, luscious colours full of depth and dimension.
Wella Professionals had collaborated with 4 local guest artists to present their interpretation of the Personalized Trends. The event was held in Wella Malaysia’s office.
The first trend, Utopia, was presented by Patrick Lee, the owner of Hairdresser and Barber from Ipoh. He interpreted this trend with his very own creation and inspirations with blonde highlights and airy cuts which made it acceptable in the market.
Next, Intersexion was presented by Aaron Yap of Hair Atelier. He has created sleek bob hairstyles which are suitable for end consumers. His cut and choice of dark colors were ‘customised’ or personalised to meet end consumers’ desires.
Baptain Hair Salon was the 3rd guest artist of the day. Chris, the principal of Baptain’s Academy presented his interpretation of Virtual Life and how it is applicable in the market despite the colourful hairstyle.
Lastly, the seminar was presented by Ray Chan. He is the managing director of Secolo Hairdressing. Ray had created luscious curls for both his models. Ray shared with the attendees the easy techniques to maintain the hairstyles and keep the curls bouncy and natural.
Each of the guest artists also had the make up and clothing for their models matched perfectly with the hairstyles and trend. It is the total personalised look that makes the trend complete.
So, which trend do you like?
