An Enjoyable Sunday

Today, as a promise to myself (last week while I was all stressed up with work), I didn’t on my lappie. I am trying to implement the concept of ‘work-life balance’ in my life (for now).

I had a very relaxing and fun Sunday. This is what I call a real weekend.

I woke up late this morning and was a little late for my breakie appointment with my friends at my second home – Pappa Rich, SS 15. Thanks to the morning sms (instead of morning call), I hurried to wash up and got ready. I was 10 minutes late. Oooppsss….

It was an enjoyable and very filling breakie. I had steamed bread with peanut butter (ooooooo yummy!!!) and a plate of vegetarian loh mai kai (glutinous rice with mushroom and flour made char siew) and a glass of ice cham (cham in Cantonese = coffee mixed with milk tea).

We chit chatted for almost 2 hours before I made a move. I needed to collect some stuff and then headed home. I quickly gave Gabby a bath and had a shower myself.

At 1.20pm, I zoomed out from the house. I met up with my movie buddy. Before the movie, we had lunch together. Chat, chat, chat; eat, eat, eat….then shop, shop, shop! I managed to buy a pair of working pumps! Finally! Sooooo happy. Later, I bought another pair of working cum casual pair of wedges! Very nice and comfortable…..Wooo hoooo…..! I fell in love….with the wedges….at first sight!

We scheduled to watch the Ugly Truth today. We managed to get good seats. It was one great funny romantic comedy! A very ‘educational’ one –to understand men better. I was laughing my head off through out the movie….but of course, there were a few touching scenes…thanks to our board of censorship, we had to figure out some parts of the movie and continue the script in our own words.

Anyway after the movie, we dropped by Sunway’s PM Boutique. We walked walked for awhile till we received a call…We met up with 2 other friends. We had dinner together and watched the last few rounds of F1. Hamilton spun out at the very last minute and lost his 3rd place. Geeees…..Raikkonen got the 3rd place. Barrichello, the veteran won 1st position!

We said out goodbyes and headed for home thereafter.

It was an ideal day out!
