It was 2 weeks before the day I boarded the plane, I made the decision. My friend asked me if I was keen to join them for a trip to Korea. I was contemplating at first, but after seeking the green light from my mentor (leaving work behind), I went ahead. I joined the 8 days 6 nights tour at a very reasonable price.
I was a little busy that 2 weeks before the trip as I needed to clear most of my work and with all the changes going on. I juggled my time between work and the preparation for my adventure. I had to make sure I packed everything I needed, yet light. I managed to bring only half a luggage bag full whilst the other half was reserved for my shopping in Korea!
Bro Marky Mark and Mama sent me and Mamma Mia to KLIA that night. I knew Mama was going to miss me when she hugged me goodbye. =)
Anyway, we met up with the local tour guide, CY, and then checked in. We then waited for our other 2 friends to arrive. As usual, we took the train to the departure lounge and later boarded the plane. I was all excited and happy!

It was a 6 hours flight to Korea. An overnight flight. After I got myself comfi in my seat next to the wings (window), I saw this ‘thing’ and I got a fright for a moment. I couldn’t help it but to take a photo and share it with you guys.

Supper was served on board. Feeling stuffed after supper, I started to feel bored as there was no TV screen in front of me to watch.
No screen!!!!!
One of the air stewards passed us a MAS Airline Survey Form to fill up. Ahh….At least I have something to do, I thought to myself.
Later in the night, I managed to catch some sleep. Woke up during wee hours for breakfast. My neck was a little painful, thanks for the uncomfortable seat.
I found something to keep myself occupied for awhile, after breakfast!

We landed around 6.45am, Saturday. I got even more excited as I was anticipating for that day to come eagerly. We saw there was this young guy travelled alone whilst the rest of us were in our group. So, we approached him to see if he wanted to join us, provided he didn’t mind. He was cool about the idea and yay, we got to know a new friend, Sam!
We collected our luggage from the belt and gathered together. 26 of us in the tour group walked out from the airport to catch the bus. Brr…..it was chilly that morning as the cool breeze was blowing gently, even though the sun was already up.
Beautiful morning

We went on the tour bus and were greeted by a Korean tour guide who knows how to speak Chinese. Her name is Angel and her parents are from China.
The first destination that we went to was the Presidential Blue House, the Korean President's residence. We couldn’t go in to visit, but we walked about the surrounding and of course, we snapped photos. I know I snapped a lot…..
