And so, I had a heritage night on Friday and Saturday I attended an LV luncheon.
The LV event that was held in the afternoon; venue decorated with flowers and all tables were set. Waiters and waitresses were busy running around, serving the guests.
Yes, the big LV celebration. It was Lex and Veronica’s wedding day – Yum Sing!!!!!!!
It was my first time stepping my feet into Jaya Palace. I didn’t want to waste my time (as I thought I was late), I parked at the valet parking. I didn’t have to worry on how to collect my car later. (Honestly, the parking bays were a little confusing)
Sexytary and I walked in with red packets in our hands. We signed the guest book and passed the red envelopes to the pretty girl at the registration table.
Anyway, we saw 1.5 tables of familiar faces and so the both of us grabbed the remaining seats. There were 2 tables reserved for Lex’s colleagues - which were us. So, while waiting for food to be served, it was pictures time!
When the line of food and alcohol started to flow around 1.30pm, we all chatted, laughed and ate all the way till closed to 3.30pm. Phew!!! It was a great gathering session for us – a few of them were ex-colleagues.
One of the ‘highlights’ of the luncheon was that the lady captain of the restaurant knows how to rap! No joke, she was rapping those Chinese auspicious lines as a song to wish the newly wed. All of us at the table were ‘amazed’ with our eyes almost popped out and mouth wide opened. Luckily, we have swallowed the shark fins, scallops and etc expensive food! (just kidding)

After the luncheon, Mrs Giggs, Sexytary and I went to Jaya One for tea. Somehow, we felt as if we didn’t have enough to eat. Or were we just being greedy on weekends, as usual? I needed to get some personal stuff from Guardian, so we headed there first. Thank goodness, Guardian was having sales! I managed to grab some things at a cheaper price. Yay!
We went to this café called Tappers on Ground Floor for drinks and snacks. We chit chatted and laughter filled the air that afternoon. Of course, since all of us dressed up that day, I slipped out my lil handy buddy again!
