A Maximised Weekend

Almost every weekend I am pretty packed with events/ happenings (I am not saying that I am very ‘happening’ person, please don’t get me wrong :P )

Well, this weekend I had a wedding dinner to attend and also my brother’s birthday to celebrate. Other than that, I had some errands to run too.

Let me start with Friday night…..After my sales conference finished, I headed back to the office to send out some emails to my client. It was important, so I had to do it. After that, I rushed home to feed Gabby as mama went to Ipoh for the weekend. I drove over to Mrs Gigg’s place and we carpooled to Sunway. We had dinner with the bride-to-be and then adjourned to Opera (a new club in town) for her hen’s night. I widen my network as there were a few friends of hers whom I haven’t met before.

Well, that night started off a little slow, but it picked up once we (I know I did) had one too many glasses of drinks. It was my first time stepping into Opera and I was amazed that they actually have acrobatic shows in between the songs played. The interior of it was a little English as there were plaster ceiling and the bar area was decorated with masks – like the one used in the movie/ theater ‘The Phantom of the Opera’. The waitresses were all dressed in short red and black corset dresses.

We started partying at 10pm and left at 2.30am. A long night. I also met a business associate of mine there, he was just standing at the table next to ours. How coincident?

(I will upload the photos when I get hold of them…)

I set my alarm clock for 10am ,Saturday, because I needed to feed Gabby. Unfortunately, I overslept and didn’t hear it rang at all. Instead, I woke up at 12pm. Poor Gabby was lying on the cool marble floor, waiting for her food to be served. *Ooppss..sorry dear….* I hurried to the kitchen and fixed her meal.

I took papa out for lunch as mama was not around and brother Marky Mark had his own agenda. After lunch, I was feeling rather lazy and tired. *yeah, an excuse to lie on the bed again*. This time, I didn’t take a nap but I watched a DVD. It’s called ‘Goal’. The storyline is about this young boy who had the passion for football and dreamt to be a player with one of the clubs. It is a very nice, touching movie. I also got to learn how it’s like to be a footie player (the hardship that they go through) and their life being a ‘celebrity’. Very inspiring movie ,overall.

In the evening, I got myself ready for a wedding dinner. It was my ex-colleague’s big day. In a way, it was also a reunion for the Wella folks to meet up for chats and laugh at the round table. It was really great to see some of them again. Isn’t it ironic, we don’t usually meet up but only at occasions like this?

(I will upload the photos when I get them from the Pro)

Anyways……after the dinner, it was time to watch footie! Yup yup, a few of us went to the nearby mamak to glue our eyes at the flat screen with glasses of coffee and juices.

Sunday 3am, I got home (I think). Felt very exhausted. I hit the bed right after my bath.

Again, I overslept and woke up 1 hour later than the alarm set. I woke up holding my mobile phone – I must have pressed the stop button when the alarm rang.

Hurried to get myself ready and left the house to run some errands. Before going places to get things done, parents and I had dim sum in PJ. We met up with brother Marky Mark for lunch at Daorea. Yup, to celebrate his birthday. It was a very filling lunch……

Being served

Mrs Giggs came to pick me up for movies in the evening. It was ‘Did you hear about the Morgans’ that we watched. Well, felt that it was one of those typical romance chic-flick. After the movie in the evening, we headed for dinner. Before hitting the restaurant, once I was done at the ATM machine, Mrs Giggs pulled me to this shop. Tutti Fruiti. It was an outlet which have self service frozen yogurt. Yummm! Even though I snacked a lot in the cinema, but I couldn’t resist it because I love yogurt! Plus, they had fat free yogurt! Lagi I went crazy….but it was a little pricy as it is RM 5.80/ 100gm. So, if you filled the cup up and added the condiments, it might cost you easily more than RM 10. Mine was RM 8.75. But it was a good experience to know the quality they serve. Not bad, not bad…..

And here I am now, sitting right in front of my pc blogging. Ok, need to have my bath now and start organizing my work for tomorrow.

I had a great weekend and I hope you had a fantastic one too!

My new concept – “Work hard on weekdays, play (very) hard on the weekends!!!”

Good night.
