Expect the unexpected

An unexpected day today.

I woke up with my throat feeling a lil sore. My nose started to run when I reached office. Hmm…not a good sign.

Anyways, had a meeting to review where we are today, in terms of sales achievement for the month. We had potluck for lunch today. Everybody brought food. CNY mah…so we share share to eat….

After the lunch, I walked back to my desk. I saw 4 missed calls on my cordless phone. Later, I received a call on my mobile. Oh oh….my buyer wanted to see me at 4pm. *Phobia* Anyways, I quickly alarmed my mentor about the meeting and prepared for it.

Rushed out to meet her. Nose was playing tricks with me, fluid keep on flowing out and sneezed in her room couple of times. :p At least I had some questions and execution solved in that 5 hours with her. I was glad, in a way. Chatted with her while we walked to collect our car at the parking lot. It was nice to chat with her outside the office. ;)

Returned a call to my mentor. Told her the situation and updates from the meeting and so we know our next steps. At the end of the conversation, she gave me an encouraging statement.

Had a simple dinner at Pappa Rich and headed home. I received a sms. Hmm? Wondering who would send me a text message at this hour? Oh, it was a colleague of mine. Unexpected. He texted me to show concern about me feeling not well. Well, maybe he got to know about it when all of them went for the company’s CNY reunion dinner.

Well, I suppose sometimes when you least expect someone to take an action or something to happen, you will either feel happy or upset.

I felt happy this time round.
