An Unexpectedly Exciting Week

Another week of excitement and challenges had passed.

It was rather an 'unexpected abnormal week' for me though….

So, Monday started off with training in the trade. The trainer bought me lunch when he knew it was my birthday. ;) Overall, it was a not-too-bad-day. The training ended at 7pm.

Tuesday came and it was another problems solving and customer pleasing day. My mentor took me out for lunch, as my birthday lunch. After lunch, both my mentor and I were busy working in a discussion room…..until 4.30pm. My mentor called me out from the room and wow, they had a birthday cake for me. I didn’t expect that they would celebrate it for me as I am a newbie in the company. I was touched! They sang and took a picture of me with the cake!

I had a 1:1 with my Sales Director yesterday. It was more of a‘get-to-know-you’ session – if I was facing any problems that need help, any areas that need couching and knowing me as a friend. To my utter surprise, he gave me several positive comments about my attitude and working habits. Speaking of working habit, he showed concern if I am having a work-life balance and enjoying what I am doing.

I packed up at 7pm and left the office. At least at that spur of the moment, I realized the weekend was here. My long awaited, precious weekend. I was happy…. I met up with the gang and off we went to Ara Damansara for dinner. It was my belated birthday dinner with the Fookies. We had our very first Yee Sang for the year.

It is always awesome to catch up and spend quality happy moments with them. We chatted about anything, everything under the ‘moon’…..and we adjourned to SS2 for dessert. There, Fookies used the ordered Durian Pancake as my birthday cake. I cut it and we ‘wallop’ it…..we were stuffed…..I was stuffed with happiness. ;)

Here are my pressies….. Thank you, sisters!
