As I was blogging a little about this, allow me to continue it…
I arrived at Avillion, PD that morning in a private car with my colleague. I didn’t follow the coach as it was really out of the way to make a trip the office.
During the day was a more serious business agenda, whilst in the evening skewed towards fun and alcohol. Almost all of us came in Rock & Roll outfit. Check it out!
After dinner and awards presentation, music started and that was when the drinks started to “flow in” and us all in the dance floor. I had enough to drink. It was all night long till about 1am, we – the few of us adjourned to the pool. Initially, we just wanted to lepak beside the pool and chit chat…but disaster happened!
I was dragged and thrown into the pool – with my clothes on!!!!! It was really my first time ‘swimming’ in the pool with clothes on. My watch was also dead that night. I wasn’t prepared for it at all to be thrown into the water. There were about 12 of us in the pool, easily. All of us were playing & fooling in and beside the pool that night. Emie and I left the pool with my crinkled skin/ fingers and headed back to our room at about 2am.
I totally slept through the night and woke up at 7.30am the next day. Gosh, it was quite difficult to wake up that morning. After breakie, it was team building time by the beach!
Team building was fun. I participated voluntarily in the gladiator game. I wanted to try. Wow, it wasn’t as easy as you see. It requires stamina and strength and balancing! The other games involved were like blowing flour in a plate to get the sweets, gunny sack race and so on… By the end of the mid day, all of us were worn out, totally. I felt that the team building games brought the colleagues closer…now we know who is who in the agile office.
We went back to freshen and cleaned up. Had lunch and I followed another colleague’s car home. It was a short but tiring, fun trip!
