Good news!

Finally, there is an answer to my question and decision.

What happened was that I was at my customer’s place. I was there to see many buyers since 10am. One after another, back to back (except for lunch time) and the appointments just continued till 6pm. Phew, a long day it was.

Anyways…..I was glad that those discussion sessions turned out well. :)

In between one of the discussions, my boss sent me a text “Can I call you in 5 minutes? Need to talk.”

And so, I replied, “ok”. Later she called and I stepped out of the office because she wanted to talk about something and needed me to be “alone”. She told me the outcome of after-weeks-of-checking with HQ, regional office and other counterparts. Honestly, I was quite stunned with the outcome and in fact, with the offer she gave me.

I was presented with an option of working overseas (Singapore is the nearest) if my CV is accepted by them. The important key point here was IF I am willing to be mobile. Hmm….I gave it a thought. IF I was presented this option 2-4 years back, I would GO. I would just pack up my bags and explore the other side of the world, take up this CHALLENGE.

But, at this age and timing, I won’t. I am looking at other needs right now. I prioritize.

So, I will be giving her my reply tomorrow. But, I am still truly grateful that she went all out to get me the best offer she could. I now see the value I have in the company, which kind of boost up my confidence level , a little. [I hope I am not being naïve here]
