It was finally being announced to the team this morning. Some thought it was a business catch up session to check if we are on track for the month’s sales. Many of them didn’t expect with the topic being brought up.
Yes, resignation was the topic. MY resignation.
My boss broke the news and also who is my successor. Later in the evening, I received a short text message from my team member. “I feel sad that you are leaving, Lil Sis. Will miss you :( “ Well, I didn’t expect that. Quite a few of them who knew about it also told me that I will be missed and they feel sad about my decision. I was pulled to the room by one of my colleagues from another department to ask me further. I was told by one of them that once I step out from this door, I will never get to step back in. I know it. To me, what matter most is the gained happy and down experience.
It is sad to leave in a way, especially my team members. It has been almost a year now working with these great people. But, when opportunity comes, I will leave anyhow. We are still friends outside anyway.
