Here I am sitting at my usual spot in the office. I am waiting for Guardian Angel to pick me up for our early -weekend -start.... :) He is finally back from South Africa (a business trip). Just can't wait to spend time with him again.
I had my final 1:1 with my boss today. It was a nice one even though I could see that she was really feeling down - cos' of me leaving.
Yup, it's my official last day today with the company.
They brought me out for lunch today. A nice, scrumptious one at TGIF. Yes, it is TGIF afterall. We had a great gathering - filled with laughter and jokes. Of course, we also had our 'speech' session. Boss gave hers first, then followed by mine.
A few of us noticed that boss seemed to almost tear when she said her speech. As for my speech, I was more on showing my gratitude to the MFTs (Multi-functional team) and colleagues for their help and support throughout my 11.5 months here.
It is kind of sad to leave the company (not for the role), but the friends whom I've made and got close to....the chats, the jokes we cracked and the lepaking sessions... :~
Anyways, it had been a really great journey. I've definitely learnt a lot and also look at things in a different perspectives now....
"Touching Lives, Improving Life" - the company has definitely given me this. (I used this as my sign off in my farewell note)
