I was chatting with a few friends couple of days back over dinner. We were talking about life and somehow it got into our past and present.
Most of us would have a past that made us remorseful about it and might be still thinking about it as it had hit us badly; a very well lesson learnt, perhaps. But then, think again, if it wasn’t the past that we experienced, we will not be who we are today – a better and stronger person. And, if it wasn’t because of what happened in the past, we would not be living a better life and meeting our current partner.
Just yesterday, I got to know an acquaintance of mine is going through a bad break up. It was too sudden and she couldn’t take it. She was really mentally dependent on the guy. Depression and sadness are stuck to her, day and night. She is only 21 and I understand it is normal to feel this way.
But, sometimes things happened for a reason. I don’t mean to sound mean, but at this tender age and will be sitting her final year in Uni, there is still a long way more. Student and working life is totally different. In fact, the moment working life begins; the journey is even more exciting.
Time heals. I believe when one door closes, there are many more other doors open. We just have to be patient and carry on with life till the right one comes by…..and by the time the opportunity comes, cherish it. Let the past be THE PAST.
