I was in Penang on Monday. I was there for work – a new brand’s launch. I will blog about the event in a separate entry, but here is ONE…oh no, sorry, I mean THREE real-life experiences that I ever had within 6 hours and would like to share with you.
Read on if you have a clear and strong mind and heart.
We checked into Bayview Hotel (which was booked online by the secretary), once we’ve arrived in Penang. We went out for a scrumptious seafood dinner by the sea with the team and our special invited guest artists. After all the good food and chats, we parted separately back to the hotel whilst they went on ‘street and stalls seeing’.
So, that night, after answering an emergency call from my colleague at 1am, I went to bed. I volunteered to sleep on the additional bed while my 2 other colleagues took the single beds instead.
I didn’t really feel tired even though I drove the whole journey to Penang. Later, I dozed off. I felt that I’ve slept for a long time, but when I looked at the time, it was only 10 minutes which passed. Felt like the movie – Inception. 3am, I felt that ‘someone’ was tickling my feet. I scolded IT to STOP. After that, I couldn’t continue sleeping at all. My roomies heard me, but they thought I was dreaming. I didn’t want to tell them because I know they were tired and we will be having a long day the next day.
Later at about 4am, I felt that ‘someone’ was climbing on top of me. This time, I couldn’t really move, so I forced myself to shout out loud. I remember people saying to scold or shout loudly and fiercely to scare ‘our unwanted friends’ away. It was a screechy, high pitch, super loud shout! My roommates woke up and looked down to my bed. I kept calm and just lied on the bed. I apologized for waking them up and asked them to go back to sleep. They did what I told them to.
Closed to 6am, I saw blurry ‘a friend’ was standing in the toilet, in front of the basin with her hair wet. I wasn’t sure why, but I asked her “WHO ARE YOU?” This time, my roomies heard me and on the lights. One of them couldn’t take it anymore. Yup, so we had all the lights on at 6am.
I BBM-ed Guardian Angel and told him my encounters at 6am. Obviously, I didn’t expect a reply right away, but I just had to tell him. Much later, he replied me that those ‘friends’ were just playing a prank on me.
Later in the morning, when the sun was up and shinning, one of my roomies asked me what happened. I was reluctant to share with her, but they were curious yet they kind of figured out. I told them. It was kind of hair raising though.
Guess what, I didn’t sleep the whole night and I had to keep myself awake for the launch event till 11.30pm that day.
The best part was, we continued sleeping in that room for the second night. We checked out the next morning and departed Penang back to KL. And I am still stunned with myself why would I asked the golden question – WHO ARE YOU?
This is the very first time I’ve encountered this. I guess my luck was really low that day.
