Day 3 in Bangkok

Due to my tight and unsure schedule for the week, I had to meet my 6th Aunty in the morning. And it was EARLY in the morning. She was right outside my doorstep at 7.50am (I was supposed to meet her at 8am). Boy, she was soooo punctual!
It was really nice catching up with her. She lives in Bangkok with her family and she has been there for many many years now.

Having a photo with her as remembrance. She couldn't really recognise me when I opened the door. I haven't seen her for almost 10 years now!

Another full day of meeting and deployment of upcoming new launches. I had fun answering the pop quizzes and accumulated some points! I was kiasu and didn't want to let my boss down for keeping quiet and not voice out our market's situation!

With the nicely decorated products....

As I've mentioned earlier that I have been pro-active during the workshop sessions and I won a prize for collecting 7 points! Not the most, but still...I deserved a prize. And it was announced that my prize was a FREE HAIR MAKEOVER from the Thai Eduation team! Wow, totally didn't expect that to come my way!

We were having a gala night that night. We were all supposed to come in as a celebrity. I didn't have anyone in mind when I was packing my luggage. So, I just brought along a bling bling top and jeans..thnking not to be so exposed as I am in the land of Bangkok! So, I just told the Thai Education team my outfit and wah lah, this was the hairstyle they came up with!

I almost flipped off my chair when I stood up to make a phone call when they were doing my hair half way. I saw the braids and the BIG HAIR!!!!

Anyway, it was something extraordinary for me! Totally unexpected that it went well with my outfit!

So, I was Alicia Keys for the night and Sum was.....hmm...a gentleman?

We arrived at this favourite restaurant of P&G's ASEAN Distributors Operations Director, called Face Bangkok. He loved Face Bangkok when he resided in Bangkok for couple of years. I didn't get to take many photos of the restaurant coz it was filled with us! Anyway, a short summary is- the restaurant outlay looks like Tamarind Spring in Ampang.

The event was all well planned. There was even a photo opportunity board!

We had couple of drinks and minggled around before dinner started. Here are some photos of me with the other countries' colleagues and also the P&G's brand managers that I work closely with.

Philippines's Elvis

With Lady Gaga....

The BMs

The dinner was awesome. I was already feeling full just by having the served appetizers. But, I haven't even enjoyed the main courses and dessert! Grrr...I didn't care, I just whallop whatever was served - bit by bit....

I was awarded as the Best Dressed that night! What an unexpected win! Another surprise! Must have been the great hair do that completed my plain-jane outfit! :)

Day 2 in Bangkok

Wah lah......Rise & Shine on the second day in Bangkok! I woke up at 6am, Malaysian time! And it was 5am in Bangkok time. I couldn't really sleep as I was all to myself in the room with the footie channel on, the whole night.

And so, I got up, washed up and got ready for the day. I captured the beautiful morning sight! I just loved the morning view. Check out the tiny sun, it was a truly orangy-red egg yolk looking sun!

The cars flooded the Bangkok streets.

This is me, after a long day. I had 2 presentations that day during the conference. It was exciting and .....scary! I presented our West Malaysia's success stories for 2 brands to about 40 people in the room. It was the first time meeting quite a number of them!

But, all hardwork comes with rewards. I had mine. Our BIG BIG Boss asked us out for a delicious dinner at a pier. Don't ask me where, I just went on the van and followed the flow. He ordered many yummmy dishes....I was pigging in...

A floating restaurant. But it wasn't where we dined at.

To cool myself down and avoid getting heaty, I had this! Super sweet and cold! Nice.....

A cup-cake-like- fish cake/ otak-otak

Huge grilled prawns

Mini lobster

Both Sum and I were stuffed. I know I was, what more when Sum had 3 coconuts?

Cam-whoring in the Suite

Not forgetting, I took photos of myself enjoying the beautiful, huge room!

..And the big bed, of course!

Can sleep on with any pose.... hehehee....

Day 1 in Bangkok

It was a cloudy afternoon when Guardian Angel sent me to KLIA. I was going to Bangkok for a 4 days workshop with my Key Account Manager, Sum. My boss couldn't make it, so it was only the both of us.

This shot was taken while yumming char with Sum, waiting for boarding time.

As we were in the plane. I was lucky to get the window seat.

I took a nap before having my late lunch on board. After 2 hours of being in the air, we finally arrived! The new Bangkok Airport - Suvarnabhumi Airport was filled with people! My goodness, it took us about 1 hour plus just to get across the custom check.

We took a meter taxi despite the booked limosine arranged by our principal because we couldn't find it. We checked into the hotel and to my utter surprise, this was how nice the hotel room is! I almost fainted when I stepped into the room as I totally didn't expect it to be this HUGE and beautiful. I was priviledged to have the whole room to myself coz my boss didn't go with us due to personal emergency reasons.

Being me, I couldn't help it but to swipe out my camera and I got carried away taking photos of the room...oh I mean SUITE.

A mini kitchen, equipped with a big fridge, oven, plates and utensils.

And a microwave!

This is the bathroom.

A small living hall area...to lepak

A large, solid closet beside the big bed with lots of pillows! But too bad, it was only half utilised.

A large couch beside the TV to lie down and laze around.

A small working station, of course!

A plate of local fruits for the palette.

And a welcoming orchid flower.

And so as the sky turned dark, it was time for dinner and a little jalan-jalan session. We had to wake up early the next morning, so Sum and I just went to the shopping mall next door.

While deciding what to have for dinner, we walked around the mall. There was a mini car show. Sum was telling me that he had to pay admission fee for the recent motorcar show, but didn't get to see these kind of cars.....

An Orange one at first.....then a yellow one...

....and then a grey one....

Whooo...hoo....wouldn't it be nice if this is my go-to-work car?

After a simple dinner, we headed back to our own room. I made a cuppa.....
.....and checked my emails and FB, before I called it a night.

And, that was Day 1, folks!
