It was 3 days ago.....on 2011's Valentine's Day. I didn't spend the day with Guardian Angel. It was devastating at first to receive a text message invite from one of my big customers (in my heart, I went like "What?! On Valentine's day?!). He invited 4 of us from the company for his salon's annual dinner cum Chinese New Year dinner in Wisma Selangor Dredging, Jalan Ampang. Sum turned down the invite as he has already applied leave to go back to Ipoh since Tuesday as a public holiday. Another colleague of mine had the excuse that she has dinner appointment with her hubby. So, left only me and my boss. How not to go, right?
I informed Guardian Angel once I knew about this dinner appointment. He told me that then he will go watch Deftone's concert. It is a metal band and the concert is at Jalan Sultan Ismail.....From the way Guardian Angel spoke about this concert, he was really interested and eager to go. I know he loves concerts and rave parties - practically anything to do with the kind of music he likes. So, instead of being upset about this 'mishap', I took it as a blessing in disguise and encouraged him to go for it (he was still indecisive about it that time). If I didn't have this dinner to attend, there are 2 possible outcomes for my Valentine's Day - 1) Spend time with Guardian Angel with just dinner, etc or 2) going for the concert with him and his friend.

So, I bet while I was enjoying the customised dinner menu with all the goodies, he was enjoying there banging his head to the beat of Deftone. I hope his hearing is still good after the concert. . :)
I had so much to fill up my tummy and there was this sweet champagne. Oooo....yummy! There were loads of salmon for the Lou Sang, baked oyster, shark fin's soup, sea cucumber with vegetables, abalones, and a very unique, refreshing dessert with jelly. I've met a few new people; for example Key Ng - the fashion designer and Elsa Dang - the beauty editor for Citta Bella magazine. Both of them are really nice and down to earth people!

My dinner ended at about 11.00pm. I accompanied my boss to wait for her hubby to come pick her up. We were chatting and she felt a pity that I couldn't spend Valentine's Day with my darling. I told her that he went for a concert and I might follow him for it if it wasn't for the dinner. She knows that metal music is not really my cup of tea, but I told her "Sometimes it is the experience that counts and who you go with. I feel something is missing in life without new experiences. Life is all about experiencing new things." She paused and remained silent for awhile. We continued to chat for awhile till her hubby drove up the pick up area.
I walked to the carpark and left. It kind of brought back memories of me working in this building 7 years back. How time flies!
