The Hair Rising Event

As I've promised you before to blog about the event that I was busy for the past 2 months ...here you go....

The best part besides planning, executing and stressing for the event is I also got the chance to get my hair done perfectly and face made up professionally. I managed to squeeze some time out on the event day to get my Educator to blow my hair and John, our regular make up artist to draw my face. :P

I like the make up he did for me. See!

So, back to the event day. It took place in Concorde Hotel, KL. It was a wet morning that day and I made my way to KL as early as leaving my house at 6.30am, just to avoid the morning traffic.

I leveraged on my colleague's complimentary breakfast. I fed myself well because I knew I might not have the time to eat later. I also made sure I had enough dosage of coffee to keep myself awake and energised.

And so, we were busy packing the goodie bags, press releases folders and etc. We made sure everything was done before my mentor arrived. I was also running around - from the ballroom to backstage, just ensuring all were smooth going.

Here are some backstage photos:
Bill Watson, International Artistic Director of Toni & Guy London

Me and my 'regional boss'. I was on the phone calling a supplier while he was supervising the catwalk rehersal on stage

Bill working on a model's hair - to get them into shape. Looks at his passion with hair on his face

The giant posters to decorate the ballroom

The ready packed goodie bags

When we had a chance to rest, we took the opportunity for a photo together

And another photo with the team. The theme of the event was Tinge of Red

This was when Bill was being interviewed by the various media writers. It was an exclusive interview.
I didn't know when I was the subject. I guess the photographer just simple snapped the photo.
All set and ready! This is the stage...
And at 2.50pm sharp, we had our emcee for the day to get the ball rolling.
After my mentor's speech, it was my turn to give the introduction of Wella Professionals hair trends for 2011 (Wella Professionals Trend Vision). Being the Education Leader, I couldn't avoid this task. I was practically shaking on stage as it was my very first time talking to 250 people on stage! Tonnes of butterflies were in my tummy.

After my introduction, models started the catwalk before the programme moved on to the look and learn seminar.

Glamazon - feminity in its fiercest form

Passionista- highly emotive trend, love is reborn

Polaris -celebrates the power of the assertive women

Bill demostrating haircut on a model

Jackie explaining the color tones for the trends

David was working on a Lumina model

Lumina- the epitome of new sophisticated future

After having the guest artists presenting professionally and sharing their interpretation of the hair trends for the year, it was time to present them with tokens of appreciation. And, here was me, giving out big bouquets of flowers. I loved the bouquets....but too bad, not even one of them was for me, belongs to me. :(

A finale group photo of the models

And this is us, the family portrait after all the hard work together

This is just a fun, silly photo of all of us

So, which hair trend do you like? Which one would you like to have?
