1 flew + 1 drove = 1 weekend together

It was Friday evening. I was still in a discussion with the team until the watch was showing 6.50pm. My boss chased me out of the room, asking me to leave. I was SOOOOooooOOO late! The taxi waited for me for at least 20 minutes. This is the first time I paid RM35 for the taxi fare for a journey which supposedly only 15 minutes (without traffic).

I went on to the cab after grabbing my bags. The regular taxi driver of ours drove me to Subang Airport. Traffic was so bad that evening. Guess how long did it take for me to reach the airport?
1 HOUR!

Where was I going, you wonder? It all started 2 weeks ago when Leroy told me that he will be away one weekend for work in the Pearl of the Orient. Don't know why, somehow, my mind worked extremely fast that moment. I quickly asked if I could go along; will his boss be there; when is he going and when will he be back....the trail of questions just came.

After discussing and checking my work schedule, I've decided to fly there for a weekend! You see, the thing is the both of us are so tied up with work and we don't really get a chance to take leave for a vacation. (I do hope we are able to leave work and have a good vacation soon).

So, I grabbed on to the opportunity of this weekend getaway with him.

Back to my journey to Penang. I checked in at 8pm and asked the counter if I could get on an earlier flight. Unfortunately, I was 15 minutes late. The earlier Firefly flight had just took off.

So, I went to the nearby coffee shop for a drink, saving my stomach for the yummy-licious Penang food. - Supper!

The flight was on time and I was on the way! So happy.... :)

Leroy picked me up from Penang airport. The airport was under renovation and it was a bit 'messy' there. Anyway, all it mattered was to spend the weekend together.

Leroy was staying in Northam All Suite. I was there to share half of the bed. We didn't go out for Penang supper because he was tired. He drove there on Thursday, (during wee hours up north;) plus he had to work on Friday morning. So, we stayed in; ordered room service and just chilled.

I kinda like this hotel because of the layout. The bedroom is being separated by a sliding door. The bathroom is big and there is a jacuzzi!

We woke up the next morning. Leroy went back to slumberland as he wasn't feeling too good. The sun was shinning through the window. It was a lovely morning. I went out to fetch some food at one of the restaurants along Gurney Drive.

It was super packed in Penang. It was the school holidays, plus a weekend. Everywhere was filled with cars and humans. I packed some light food and went back to the hotel.

A selection of dim sum!

He told me that he will be back later in the afternoon to pick me up. So, I lepakked in the room, watched Tv and surfed the Internet. Did some work in between.

Me chilling out in the room

Later, the sky started to turn grey. There were dark clouds.

I took a nap that afternoon. I was too lazy to go out alone to anywhere.

Leroy came back later. We hung out for awhile, got ready and off we went for dinner. We enjoyed the hawker food.....and left. It was time for the second activity of the night.

It was time for X-Men First Class! He booked tickets couple of days back for Gurney Plaza. I was surprised with it as he knew I so wanted to watch this movie. Hehehehe....the movie is awesome and it was my first time catching a movie in Penang... When we were walking to the cinema, I spotted this shoes outlet and something just made me think that there are shoes that are just FOR ME.... I told Leroy I want to go there the next day. He gave me that look. ^_^

We played games that night and he promised me that if I managed to make 1 billion dollar, he will bring me back there. I won that night......

That night, we slept at 5am. A long, maximised day.
