An Afternoon Female Launch Event

This week had been a busy week for me. After my launch event in the office, I had to attend Female Magazine's Beauty Best Sellers Launch Event at One Utama the next day.

I like the concept of this event. All advertisers were exclusively invited for this launch. The layout of this event was as if entering an art gallery. All of the advertisers' brands were hung up and displayed according to alphabetically order.

The above is Ms Seema, editor of Female magazine. She gave a short and sweet speech after the opening gambit; which was great! Nobody would want to stand and listen to a long speech anyway.

Met a few ex-business associates and ex-colleagues. What a small world. It was nice to catch up a bit...

Yeah, so I was there for the afternoon. It was a good short out of office. :)

The "W" Day is coming soon

Weddings bells are ringing soon, in another 45 days! I am all excited and looking forward to it.

Shocked?! I have fooled you, didn't I?.... Well, it's not my wedding la..

It's my bestie's wedding. All of the ji-muis (bridesmaids) met up yesterday afternoon for a lunch gathering. We discussed about the gate crashing games, timing, bridesmaids dresses and groomsmen's attire. Wow, planning a wedding is really not an easy task.

After lunch, we went around looking for dresses. The few of us shops hopped and finally ended up in SS2. We've finally found the perfect dress for all of us. We are all wearing the same design and color. :)

2 bridesmaids are working in Singapore currently and so we will have to try our best fit for them.

Shot this while waiting for fitting. There were so many pretty white gowns.

Ok, dresses are off the list. Now is the hen's night..........And the plan is.......Sorry, I won't disclose it until it's over...look out for it! :P

Im-Perfection

The boy and the girl went out for dinner together. The girl saw the boy was wearing the gift she gave him. She knew about the flaw with the gift after the first wash.

Girl: Why did you wear this out?
Boy: Why not? If you put on weight, I leave you?
Girl: (Kept in silence for a moment)

Being in a relationship, being together as a couple and of course, being in love...is to be able to accept and compromise with each other's imperfection, weakness and to support each other irregardless. Ups and downs, through thick and thin together.

This is love.

Pigging out Weekend

My my my...it was a celebration weekend for me. Celebration = food!!!! : )

First, it was my parents' wedding anniversary. My parents called for a dinner together and I was in charged for booking a venue. We wanted chinese food but too bad the restaurants I called was all fully booked because of wedding dinners happening...it must be some prosperous day for the month.

So finally, I made a reservation with Rakuzen, Empire Mall. They allocated a room for us (which was good because we will have all the privacy we want). Yay!

I had my usual - mini soba to sushi set. Hmm...I enjoyed it, as always...

Us at Rakuzen

Then, came Sunday night. It was Leroy's parents' wedding anniversary =) We went to Kenchara at Jaya One for vegetarian. It was our first time dining at the restaurant, this branch. The ambiance at this new age vegetarian restaurant was so-so. Quiet, dimmed lights and the air-conditioning was cold...brrr...maybe it was because of the cool weather out there. The menu is actually slightly different from the one at Viva Home. They have more fusion dishes at this Pj outlet.

Yup, so there you have it....It was a pigging- celebration -weekend for me.

Happy Hour, Happy Friday

It was 2 Fridays ago, that I was invited to join Leroy's ex-colleagues gathering at IOI Boulevard, Puchong. I had a great night, filled with laughter and hearty food - German Pork Knuckles, sausages and pasta...and BEER! Pints after pints. We enjoyed the happy hour package.

His ex-colleagues are really funny people - funny after working hours but serious at what they do. The conversation were just informative, entertaining and enjoyable. We hung out till 11+ at before we called it a night and headed home.

I had a nice time with Leroy and his ex-colleagues. Great chance to network with other people from the other industry and more experienced folks in life.

And.... Gabby had a big bone as her snack the next day!

Happy Mid Autumn Night

"I have to leave on time today". That was what I told my boss before we started the discussion at 3.45pm. I left on time, indeed. Everyone in the office did.

I had a great night last night. It was mid-autumn festival and I was at Leroy's place. Firstly was out for dinner with his family and grandma. The food was awesome! After dinner, we headed home for second round. It was the time of gathering and bonding.

Aunty set up the table with mooncakes, the tradition cultural food and rose tea at the porch. Ohh..there were 2 lanterns as well. :) Nice..!

Sad that the moon was covered by the haze. The sight was blurry.

After bonding with them, I spent some quiet time with Leroy before leaving for home. Before I left, Aunty gave me 2 small canisters of rose buds and champagne mooncakes from JW Marriot. Yum....

Thoughts

Woke up this morning, feeling exhausted, or more like worn out. It had been a busy 1st 3 days of the week. It was our monthly sales & marketing meeting, followed by 2 days of training. I had 3 hours of sleep only the day before and totally kong-out yesterday evening.

While sitting at my cubicle, recalling back on the day's happenings I had with the sales team, made me realise how ironic life is. My boss was on emergency leave due to family matters and had to held the fort at home, while me held the fort in the office. It wasn't easy and I chose to look at it as an experience and learning ground.

Many things are running through my mind now and I am looking forward to the weekend to have a break from all these for awhile....

Saturday Foodie Night and Games

It was Saturday and we celebrated mama's birthday....at Green View. My family likes the food there so there we went. :)

Mama likes the Sang Har noodles and so we ordered that. Other than that, we had suckling piggy, fried honey squid (something new to us and surprisingly it is quite yummy), kam heong lala and seafood claypot. Boy, I was stuffed that night.

Seafood claypot

And....this was us...

After dinner, we went in separate cars. I went to Leroy's house for the games again. I enjoy playing games with him, spending time with him. That's what I call a weekend.

Got home close to 2.30am. I was doing my work till about 5am. I knew I couldn't rest in peace (have proper sleep) if I have unfinished work......

Working but not working Friday

Driving on the road for the past few days was a breeze.... I like it! I enjoyed it!

Driving to work today was awesome too.....there were hardly any cars on the road. Yup, I am working today and cancelled my leave because I didn't have much to do at home or plans to go anywhere + I have a customer lunch appointment (me joining my boss) at 1pm later... Yay! Out of office still....

Oklar, better not abuse my freedom so much.....better start doing some work now till 12... :P

Pretty pweety nails..

I got my nails painted by a trainee in the office on Monday! Sweet and pweeeety, right?

She is a beginner but she is patience and good! She handled my nails with care :)

Ahhh....where to eat.... Alexis!

I was at his house in the evening. We were supposed to go yum char, but ended up, once I got my butt stuck to his little stool, the addiction started. Later, the both of us were glued to the game.

Finally, we went out for dinner at 7 plus. We couldn't figure out what to have for dinner, but we just drove, he drove I mean. I asked him constantly where were we heading to, but he shrug this shoulders.

We reached Bangsar. BSC. He still didn't want to tell him which restaurant were we heading to....and later..... Alexis!

We scanned through the menu and placed our order. He specifically requested the Tiramisu to be served as the starter...yum...(psst, he was craving for it...)

There were not many patrons in the restaurant. We almost had the whole restaurant to ourselves, thanks to the Raya holidays.

His.....

Mine......

Boy, the both of us were stuffed at the end. Guess the portion was just too big for us...but I enjoyed it, very much, with him....

A break in between the week

It is the long holiday..well, 3 days in the week is considered long...... I had been hanging out in Leroy's house, and today, we went out for a movie at night. I didn't have a car to use today as my parents needed to use my car.

Not sure why, but I couldn't sleep long for the past 2 days. I guess I have some unfinished business = my work. I might just cancel off my applied leave for Friday.... will see how it goes..

By the way, happy independence day!
