Busy Busy Busy Weekend

It was a busy weekend for me. I was out the whole of Saturday afternoon hunting for a cocktail dress. The best outcome was to get 2 because I have 2 weddings to attend next month and one of them is my bestie's. So, hers is the priority. :)

I didn't manage to get a cocktail dress on Saturday, instead I found a very elegant article for work. The material was good, cutting fitted me just nice and the style was very Audrey Hepburn. Hmm...having a classic piece in my closet won't do harm. It was quite pricey but I felt it was worth it.

I was already planning for the worst to just wear back one of my old dresses for the wedding....

Sunday came. I didn't give up just yet. I headed to one of the boutiques in Subang and finally. I found it!!!! A black cocktail dress. It wasn't skimpy and it was simple and pretty. Great! Simply awesome!

I am happy that I finally got my dress sorted out and need not to worry about it. I will find a nice piece in my closet for the second wedding (I hope). I am now looking forward to this coming weekend......

Cooking Holiday

I felt like cooking something. So the day before the public holiday, I asked and told Leroy that I would like to cook pasta and if he would like to try. He agreed. Yay!

It was my first time cooking Seafood pasta with carbonara mushroom sauce. I went to the nearest hypermart to get the ingredients and some seafood for the meal.

Fresh white and brown mushrooms, dory fish, prawns, squid and the sauce. Even though I used the ready made Prego sauce, but I added some of my own recipe (secret)....hehe...well, it's actually no biggie. Just an extra step to make the sauce a little extra yummy and authentic.

Ta da......! This was it! I asked Leroy for his feedback. It was positive! Woot woot! His next request was 3+1 - 3 dishes and 1 soup. Hhmmm...... that shouldn't be too difficult to prepare. :)

Sleepless night after a long time

I don't think I had any sleepless night off late; but it happened last night.

I went to bed at 12am and surprisingly, I woke up at 12.50am. Felt as if I had slept for a long time...I went back to sleep. Later, I woke up at 2.00am; then later at 5.30am....and finally at 6.10am. And that was when my alarm clock rang.

I knew there was something bothering me. I know what was it. But, I always have this principle of mine - to sleep off and forget whatever unhappiness once the next day begins. And I will overcome it!

A touch of relaxation

It was the beginning of the week and we headed out to recce a venue for our future event. We checked out Poise Organic Wellness Studio at Old Klang Road as our brand's equity is spa - massages - relaxation related.

This venue is located around a housing area. It is rather quite comfortable decorated. I am amazed with the size of this semi-detached. It is huge and had so many rooms or at least this spa owner renovated it to be as such. Each room has a name: Earth, heaven, and etc (no hell). :P

The spa manager took us for a short tour.

From main entrance as we entered

On my left side
As I walked in was the hall for F&B

On my right side

One of the rooms for massages

Jacuzzi spa service

and at the pedi/ mani room

After checking out the place, we tried out their spa massage. I chose "Balance" essential oil for my massage / relaxation session. The masseur was great. She (an Indonesian) has 'great energy' and hit all my tension knots with 1 touch. I was in pain, but the pain was good (note that I am NOT a sadist) and for good, clearing off my tension knots on my shoulders.

We enjoyed our massage session and I don't mind going back again for another session. Oh yeah, you must try their ginger tea! Their authentic ginger tea is just so concentrated and awesome. It warmed me up immediately! I've never tasted such nice ginger before in any of the spa centers that I've been to.

There will be your time to those.....

As I was browsing through my FB's homepage, I saw this posted by a friend of mine.

So true.

The TV and Gabby

Who says dogs don't watch TV?

Gabby does.

Angry Monday Morning

It was Monday morning and it was supposed to be a beautiful morning until I saw this while traffic was slow moving.

3 red fury balls looking at me! 3 angry bird cushions!

The Hen's Night Finally Came...

Remember I was quite secretive about the hen's night? Here you go....sharing with you some of the happenings last Saturday night.....

Below are the welcome banners that one of our besties did. She is the creative one among us :)

Due to the bride-to-be is a vegan, so we purposely prepared a vegetarian steamboat dinner. This was the soup that we had. We didn't expect it to turn out yummy...not bad!!

Yeap, this is me in the kitchen preparing the soup. My first time experiment cooking the soup.

Then, while in and out of the kitchen, we also prepared the decoration of the venue... We didn't want to have it outside in a restaurant or a club...

This is me fooling around with the props.. :) Mini penis from Singapore.

......And finally, we decorated the place before the bride-to-be arrived. Nice and cozy, right?

We blind folded the bride-to-be and didn't want her to see the total set up....until later...

This is the pot....of vegetarian steamboat.

Of course we had games and skype session with our dear bestie in Korea. I shall not disclose so much....but sharing with you is the jelly cake that we ordered for the bride to be. It was a specially customised cake. :)

And she loved it! I am happy that she enjoyed the night and the food.

Last but not least, the group photo...

See if I can share more photos when I get them from the professional photographer :)

We love you, bride- to- be!

Cute food that enticed my appetite

I had some colourful and exciting food off late.

Firstly was the jelly from Q Jelly.

Secondly, it was the mini chinese buns ('pau') from this dim sum restaurant in USJ that I went to with my family for breakfast over the weekend morning.

I know they are cute, but I had them.... :P
