2 months ago we started planning for an overseas vacation together; in February after CNY. I have 13 days of annual leave to flush before end of March, so thinking it would be good timing. Moreover, the both of us need a vacation to get away from work. I did all the research and submitted my proposal. Things were looking good until he received his new assignment.
We've now decided (a mutual agreement) to postpone our trip to a later month; perhaps during the sales months in that particular country. Hopefully that time he will not be tied down with his work commitment. I truly believe our vacation will come true despite our busy work schedules.
I am cool with the arrangement because I understand his new role and the added work responsibilities he has. Hence, I didn't push it further. I am sure he would be understanding too if I was in his shoes and I know his principles.
Now, since there is more time to the targeted vacation month, there will be just more savings for shopping and better planning for the trip!
