I'd just ended a telephone conversation with someone. Sorry, it was not ended but the person just hung up rudely. Let me tell you what happened.
This person called up and introduced himself as Dato/Datuk XXX. He was interested in purchasing products of our brands.You see, the normal practice is that we do not directly deal with end consumers but outlets. This is our principal and management's policy. So, I was reluctant at first to offer him, but later I was kind enough to offer him the products at a discounted price since it was a volume purchase.
During lunch, I mentioned this to my boss and she wasn't aligned to the quoted price. Hence, I called the person back and explained. Instead of a direct discount, I offered him other returns in kind. This person (kononnya works in a reputable large company and has a 'D' title in front) replied rudely that he threatened me by saying he won't use our products anymore and hung up.
Hmm....I am just amazed that someone who is considered a 'big shot' acts rudely and thinks shallow.
Oh oh, as I am writing this, he just called again. He called to listen to my explanation again and the last word was "GOODBYE". It wasn't in a good manner, I could tell. I wish him luck in finding the similar products because he won't be able to find any substitute products in any other brands.
