Avengers Night

Another great weekend I had!

We booked for Avengers tickets at One Utama, 3 days before Saturday. The both of us were excited to catch the movie which was long awaited for. He picked me up and we headed to One U. First we had dinner at the agreed restaurant - Cravings. After being satisfied with dinner and a filled tummy, we took a slow walk to the cinema.

As usual, we had our popcorn and drinks ready before the movie started. See, he had already started digging in even before the movie started.

Avengers 3D was one great movie. The characters and the story line. Awesome. It's just amazing that how the scriptwriter and the writers brought in every character smoothly. There were the exciting moments and the funny times too. It was really ticklish when Incredible Hulk flips Loki like a fish, left and right. Another funny scene was when Incredible Hulk woke Iron Man up! I burst out laughing!

After the movie, we were commenting and checking with each other the things that we might have missed out or didn't quite understand.....yup, we had a "post mortem".

I just love watching movies...with him....

*Ouch

It was last Sunday that I had a painful blister......from spending about 1 hour plus on ironing the whole family's clothes. It was mostly my brother's working shirts.

My version of Bersih

While many went for the Bersih 3.0 rally, I was at home having my own version of Bersih peacefully.

Yup, I prepared my own lunch on Saturday afternoon, after good night sleep.

Exploration Day

We had 'Satay Celup' (steamboat with peanut sauce) for supper that night. Yes, it was a fattening night. But, when we are on a vacation, I suppose all the diet can be put on hold but enjoy to the fullest!

The next day after we checked out, we headed to Jonker Street again.

While walking around exploring for lunch, we walked passed a few antique shops. I was truly fascinated looking at them. Some brings back good ol' memories of my younger days.

We finally decided to have Portuguese food. It was our first time trying it out - Eleven Restaurant.

It is a small, cozy shop with only a few tables. We had to wait for our food as each dish was cooked individually. The chef doesn't accumulate the same dish and cook it at once. This preserves the originality of the taste.

It was yummy and great! Both of us love the food there.

Below is one of their specialty - Special Curry Dable Chicken. The taste is superb.

This is Portuguese Baked Fish. The fish was fresh and the gravy...oh yum yum.

We had otak-otak too but it was just so-so. The best is still Muar's.

We walked around Jonker Street to walk off the food.

This is to clean mahjong tiles. Cool eh?

Of course, this famous Chicken Rice Balls was packed and long queue as usual.

It was quite warm that day. We were sweating like a pig. :D

A photo of us before we headed for home. It was a short but wonderful trip.

A trip to the Historical Town

It was a few weekends back that I went to the historical land with my darling. We spent the weekend there..

It had been such a long time since I last went to Malacca. There were so many changes. One of it is below. It was a newly build tower with a revolving 'cage' where people can have a ride up and down.

We stayed at Equatorial Hotel. Our preferred hotel.

We rested before we headed out for dinner as we arrived in the evening. Later at night, we took a walk to Jonker Street. It was so crowded and colorful.

We stopped by to watch this uncle. He could pierce through the hard coconut with his forefinger. Amazing. Obviously, he was also promoting and selling the Chinese ointment. Apparently, he is featured in Malaysia's Lonely Planet Book. Quite a number of tourists from overseas came to see his performance.

This uncle is also the Guinness World Book of Records winner. He pierced 4 coconuts in 31 seconds!

He also have his very own banner and website.

After dinner and the walk at Jonker, we took a short walk back to the car. Along the way, I saw these. Cute, Japanese looking house-converted-to-hotel.

Tidur -Tidur - what a cute name.

We spent time in the room that night watching series of Friday 13th till 4am before we called it a night.

Blog To feed the needs

Why do people blog? What do they blog about?

1. Some like to "share" their thoughts here
2. Some kind folks blog and provide information to the public (eg. fashion, beauty, technologies bloggers)
3. Some find the blog is the place to release their happiness, silliness, frustrations, anger, hatred towards someone, backstabbing and etc....
4. Some just to pass time (pure boredom)

People blog to feel better, satisfied and relieved.

Sounds like an ego boosting tool?

.Meaningful.

Stunned for a moment

It was one of those rough days. I've never met such an unprofessional person what more when this person is holding a high position in a company.

I came across this place during our recent trip.....we didn't go in to take a look as we were hungry that afternoon.... Wonder what's inside?

Dance through the night with a Fish

It was quite hidden but it was packed during dinner time.

With the name of the restaurant, it kept me wonder why is it named as such....until I saw the restaurant and the cuisine they serve. It is an Malay-Indo cuisine restaurant. She knew we enjoyed spicy food, that what made the decision of meeting up here.

My friend suggested this outlet which is located in BSC new wing. Very nice ambiance. The food's price is reasonable.

We arrived early and then already many tables had the "Reserved" signage on it. Luckily, we arrived early and the waiter served us to a good spot.

The 2 of us were hungry, so we ordered an appetizer while waiting for the rest to arrive. It was fruit rojak.

Then, when the other 2 friends came, we ordered the 4 main dishes to share....and they served 2 types of rice. A choice of white rice or nasi kunyit.

The above is Bebek something..... in layman term is fried duck.

The yin-and-yang rice... :P

This is their sambal....

And....ta da!!!! We ordered the Dancing Fish! It was deep fried fish served with chili.

Oh...this is also quite unique. It is Egg beancurd with a little sourish sauce. It was quite high, like a tower.

Overall, the dinner was good. But of course, the conversation and catching up session made it complete. We had so much to talk as we haven't met up for many months now.

I would say, Dancing Fish is a good choice for small gatherings or parties, only if you enjoy spicy, Malay / Indonesian food. For me, it was the company that matters and experiencing a new outlet.

Waiting Anxiously

In another 8 hours, I will be in another township... Weeeeeeeeeeeeee.................................!!!!!!!!

So looking forward to this surprise.

The Nail Parlour

I went for a pampering session. It had been ages since I last had a proper pedicure. I have been doing it myself for many months now....

So, for convenience sake, I went to The Nail Parlour at Empire Gallery Mall. It was my first time there. I had to fill up a form with my personal details. Then, before I started with my session, I was asked to settle the bill first; something which I find it awkward. I understand (and I will volunteer to pay first) if I was doing a manicure, but even for a pedicure?

My, there were just one too many 'first time' with this nail salon.

It was my first time to this salon.
It was my first time to settle the bill before the service is even started.
It was my first time to have a male (or male with female hormones in him) as my manicurist.
It was my first time to experience such lousy leg cleansing process and massage. (The cleansing wasn't as what I normally would experience and the massage wasn't even a massage). It was just simply done.
It was my first time trying out Jessica nail polish. Let's see how lasting the color is.

It will be my first and the last time going there.

I was asked to sit at the entrance / counter area to dry my nails with the machine. While waiting, I snapped some photos....

The various designs of nail art.

Walah, when it was done.

They also had services for men.

While at home, I looked at my horoscope for the day. Well, it did say I need more 'me time'; which I did today....just that it was way below my expectation.

Let Loose....and Enjoy

It's great to just let loose and forget about all the stress and worries at times...

. ....That's the bliss in life!

Part 4: And we got home safely

We dropped by Seremban town for the famous baked crabs before heading back to KL. Yum.....we were hungry as we didn't have anything since breakfast.

This is the restaurant you should visit in Seremban if you fancy baked crabs. The crabs are really sweet and fresh. But, the price wasn't as great as our dinner's.

See! The crabs were big and succulent!

After lunch / tea, we left for home.......it was another hour of drive home...

By the time I got home, I was quite tired. Tired from driving the whole journey... but it was a great, fun, unforgettable trip.

Part 3: Almost the end of the weekend getaway

We got ready and headed for breakfast at the hotel. It was really nothing great and as usual, hotel food.

After breakfast, we checked out the place. We walked around and visited their  meeting rooms area. Along the way, we saw these and had some fun with it.

Getting married  soon? Hahahaha....

After breakfast, we hung out in the room for awhile before checking out. After checking out, we continued our route to visit the light house.

We had to walk up a steep road....in the jungle...which was great to be in the nature environment after so long...

This was almost near the light house...

On the hill top...

This was the main entrance. Each person had to pay RM1 entrance fee.

 The greens.....cool.....nice....

Overseeing the sea behind the trees....

 And....this is the light house...

I loved the scenery. It was just awesome to see the sea from above...
