Mini Adventure - Part 2

As I mentioned in my previous blog entry (Mini Adventure - Part 1), here is the remaining bit of my adventure.

I stayed 5 nights at Royal Plaza on Scotts and it is quite a nice hotel. The facilities are sufficient and all well equipped. To me, the most important thing was internet access / WIFI and it worked on my BB. The last time I stayed at Grand Park Hotel, my BB just couldn't detect the WIFI.

This 5 ***** hotel actually has a Nespresso machine in the room. Wow, yeah, this "sua ku" hasn't never had the experience of having a coffee machine in the room before. The convenience of having a cuppa is just great! At any time of the day when I need an energy booster.

The coffee is in the capsules. Each capsule has different level of bitterness and concentration.

Yum yum.......I just love it!

On one of the nights, I had to go entertaining. We went to Lei Garden. Oh my....for the very first time, they served hot, steamy Chinese tea in a glass - similar to wine glass looking kind of glass. It was really difficult to sip on it. So, I requested the waitress to change it for me to the conventional tea cup.

This is the set up of the restaurant. Not a very big place, but cozy.

In Singapore, I find the air-conditioning everywhere is cold. Brrr......... even in the MRT.

On another entertainment-dinner night, we went to The Tanglin Club - it is one of Singapore's oldest & prominent social club. It is not known how the name 'Tanglin' originated but as there are many places in Malaysia named after trees, it is possible that The Tanglin Club was named after the Saraca Tree aka 'Tanglin Tree'.

The pub looking restaurant was packed that night. We managed to get ourselves  a long table. I tell you, the food is just ooo lala......they serve really good food. I ordered Lamb Shank in Rosemary Sauce...the lamb shank is bigger than my hand.

I tried out KOI Bubble Tea. Actually it was more of my friend who bought for me. We met up and  had dinner together at Toa Payoh.

H&M. The famous apparel outlet that everyone was talking about. Yup, there will be 1 in KL soon too!
Well, I find the clothes are ok, somewhat like Esprit / Forever 21 kind of clothes. But the bikinis are really cheap even though it was in SG Dollars.

A 'white guy' on Orchard.

This is the longest / highest escalator that I have ever experienced. It took me all the way up 22 floors of a building - Orchard Central (OC). Oh my......the feeling of standing on the escalator, was quite terrifying, especially when I looked down the hustle and bustle Orchard Road below me.

This was me, before going up..... It looked like 'escalator to heaven'?

Phew, this was on the roof top - Roof Garden. Standing and walking in the garden was really serene and peaceful. The feeling of being under the stars.

Yup, I supposed this is one of the famous fried kway teow stall in Chinatown. Check it out.

The long queue.....! Worth the wait?

I find it a little wet as compared to Malaysia's. Penang Char Kway Teow is still the best.

And finally, this was captured on my last day (morning) in Singapore. I did rush to do a final round of shopping before I left. And Yes, I did get a few articles for myself. Yay!
