An Organic Gathering

We met up for dinner. We just enjoy each others' company so much. This time, we had it at Organic Express, SS2.

After dinner....

And another shot..... and with a new member :P

Food, Chat and Shopping...

During the Hari Raya break (Malay New Year holidays), I met up with Carole. It had been ages since I last sat down to have a meal with her and catch up.

So, I picked her up from her office (was the meeting point), and headed to Paradigm Mall. We were there early (before 1pm) and were lucky to get a good parking lot.

She took me to Miraku Restaurant. It is located at the corner of Ground Floor, next to Starbucks.

This restaurant is new and quiet; which we both enjoyed - not much of noise. Lol......

I had my usual "best of both worlds" meal - sushi and soba noodles (wasn't adventurous that day).... Fish was fresh and price was reasonable = great combination. Best thing is it has an opener air dining area with canopy, and I didn't have to feel frozen.

This was Carole's.

And...this was California Roll - totally complementary.

Since we had so much to catch up on, we ordered Miraku's Coffee. I kind of like the taste of it. The aroma of the coffee is awesome! And the way the coffee powder was soaked was cute.

After it was taken out from the cup for 10 minutes, it looked like a mini shopping bag!

After the scrumptious meal, we walked around the mall and I ended up buying a pair of heels from C&K and a top of Zara! :P

Welcome to our world, Baby Cloey!

Come, meet baby Cloey with me!

She came to this world on 23 August. My bestie finally gave birth to this baby princess that night.

A few of us visited her yesterday and it was my very first time to have my own close friend delivering a baby and me holding a 2 days old baby in my arms. I was truly happy and excited!

Baby Cloey is really a sweetie cutie. She was wrapped up like a mini dumpling - to keep her warm and cozy.

We shall meet again, Cloey...you are a lucky baby because you have your parents, 5 other "Aunties" and 2 "Uncles" to love you. :D

A S.Wine Lunch

Since it was the long break and her birthday was just around the corner, we brought Aunty Ros out for an early birthday celebration. It had been 5 months since we last saw her.

It was a surprise to her as she didn't know where we were heading to for lunch. I picked her up from her house that morning and took a slow drive to Publika. Lynn met us there directly.

Aunty Ros and I arrived earlier than Lynn so we headed to the restaurant to get a table. My my....it was packed and had to leave my name on the waiting list.

**This restaurant serves pork, and pork, nothing else :)

Lynn arrived after about 5 minutes my name was written on the list. We sat outside chit chatting while waiting for a table. Catch up time!

This outlet is really packed with patrons. It was a public holiday, so many were out to dine and enjoy. We waited for about 10-15 minutes and finally the waitress got us a table.

Lynn did the ordering as she tried out the food before. We had 3 dishes and 1 soup to share; to try the taste and quality of the food.

I would say the Green Pea soup and Pork Slices Carbonara Spaghetti are really good. If you plan to try out the Carbonara, do share it with someone because it is very rich in flavour and generous portion. The salad that we ordered wasn't too bad too. The only nothing special dish that we didn't quite fancy was the Hainanese Pork Chop. Yut Kee's Hainanese Pork Chop tastes better than this, I would say.

We whacked everything that day... The total bill came up to about RM130, which was reasonable for the portion they served.

It was a very comfortable, enjoyable lunch. Aunty Ros enjoyed the food and time with us. For the first time after so many years, we had a photo together.

Later in the afternoon, after we have digested some portion of the lunch in our tummy, we tried out Moo Cow - natural yogurt. Yum, I love it! The natural yogurt taste- not too sour was just superb!

We made a move back home respectively late afternoon that day. Aunty Ros was happy that we remembered and  celebrated her birthday.

At the corner of Happy Mansion....

Last few Sundays, I brought my family to Food Foundry at Happy Mansion (Seksyen 16,PJ) for tea.

I revisited this place, as my first time here was about 6-7 years ago...Wow, I was quite impressed with the refurbished look and feel of it. It gives patrons a more cozy and comfi feeling now compared to an old shabby ambiance.

Apparently they are famous with their crepe cake (it basically like indo's layer cake's concept)

I had a mango one....yummy..

Marky had beef lasagna.  Mum commented that it was good.

Dad's smoked salmon sandwich. Nice but too bad it was a little too salty for me.

If you plan to dine in, the portion is actually quite generous.

Of course, I bought Leroy his favourite cake, Tiramisu, to try. If it's better than Alexis' or Alexis still win his taste buds and votes?

RM12 for 1 slice. Quite expensive, hor?

Early Birthday Celebration

Yup, my schedule with gatherings and birthday celebrations were still going on till today.....

We celebrated Kay's birthday earlier this year since she was back from Korea for a short break. It was the only opportunity to celebrate as we weren't sure if she will be back around this time again.

I made my way to Wong Poh at Dataran Prima. It was one of those pioneer restaurants-  infamous with crabs and the many ways of cooking them.

I think we had quite a bit of food that night and it was a great night. We surprised Kay with this birthday cake from RT!

Everyone was present that night, except for Filo as she is nearing to delivery of baby Erica. :)

Dining at Kuriya

I rushed over to Kuriya Japanese Restaurant in BSC last week. I had my hair perm-ed (slight soft waves) and it took a little longer than estimated, so I was 15 minutes late for my dinner appointment with my makan-makan pals. It was 2 months since our last catch up session.

This time, we tried out Kuriya Restaurant, located on 3rd Floor of BSC. Since I was rushing, the nearest lift taken was a glass lift from the side of the main entrance, inside a florist shop. How cool is that?! The ambiance is actually not bad, quiet and serene. Great place to chit chat and catch up. Food wasn't too bad; I would rate it as 3/5 for the dishes that Mich ordered. The only 'funny tasting' one was the Chicken Teriyaki. It tasted more of like a Chinese cooking stir fry chicken. :P What was the damage for the night? I honestly don't know because my mentor settled the bill. It was on her. :P

Of course, we left the restaurant at around 9.45pm (stayed long enough till we can't stay on anymore) as all of us needed to work the next day. I had a long sales meeting the next day. x_x

Before we left, we had a photos session and we made it a point that we must have a photo taken every time we meet up (to see the # of times we meet up and the progress of us growing old gracefully....LOL) To us, the catching up is more important than dining (60/40).

Great night, great companion.

A Nice Sunday Afternoon

Phew, quite a few gatherings and catch up sessions lately.

This took place on Sunday afternoon. My ex-boss came to pick us up in her newly bought Bimmer 328i. Oo lala... we had such a great session - with Melissa, her daughter who came back from UK for her summer holidays and Stephanie - the funny mama who was in Melbourne for 2 months to be an "Au Pair" there for her 2 grand kids :) She will be going back there again this weekend and will be back to KL in November again.

We had so much joy, food and gossips that afternoon.

Me and Steph

After the long lunch, it wasn't enough of chit chatting, so we adjourned to Gou Char for a drink. Surprisingly the drinks here are nicer than Cha Time. The white pearls are less starchy.

By the time I got home, it was closed to 4pm. I had a nap before meeting up with Leroy. It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
