My buddy gave me this when she got back from Tokyo lately. They were my requests before she left for a vacation! :) I also wanted the Melon Sweets, but those can only be found in Hokkaido.

Over Coffee
Both Leroy and I are coffee drinkers. We enjoy having coffee together, just for a chat or laugh and catch up of the day's happenings.
Received this out of the blues from my man.....

The Ride
Just couple of days ago, one of my salespersons called me asking a silly question where he can simply get it from the materials I provided him with. His reason of calling me at my busiest time is that he can't find the document! Or pure lazy and just wanna get an easy way to the answer?
I told him to check his document. I am not GOD to remember every single details.
I am a helpful person, but off late I realized that if I keep on lending a helping hand, the person will not learn. The person will always fall back, relying on me or any one else. I feel a person should try his or her best in solving the problem before seeking for help. This is what you call - initiative and willing to learn.
I am not being mean, but these days, younger generation just don't put effort to learn. It's time to change! No more being taken for a ride.

Welcome, Fishies!
One of the days last week, I followed my sales team out to get some fishies for the their aquarium. Yes, we have a small toy in the office.
I took them to another shop to get the fishies as the first batch the team bought all passed away within a week or so. Guess they weren't tough enough :P
Here, we placed them into their new home.
Tetras and Zebra fish in da house!
This is how our tank looks like.
Haha.....this were us admiring the fishies...
And....taking a closer look.
The Morning at Bernama Building
Last Thursday morning was my very first time being in a news building. I headed to Bernama office in KL (and yes, it was stressful as I had to wake up earlier and beat the traffic).
I was there with my colleagues and a customer. He was there for an interview with regards to hair issues and the main focus was on thinning hair.
I took a peep at the news room. It was quiet, unlike the scenes we see in TV programs where everyone runs around and shouting for news happenings.
Boy, the room was filled with small TVs and computer screens. It was really cold too! Brrrrr........
The interview was live. So, both interviewer and my customer had to be really alert and clear in answering the questions.
The whole process was about 15 minutes. Live on Bernama News!
It was really an eye opener for me as I have never been to a news room and recording room.

Phone Numbers Madness
Sigh.....due to some unforeseen circumstances, I 've lost all of my phone contacts in my BB. Now I have to key in one by one again....and asking from friends for other friends' numbers. I supposed it is time alright to 'clean up' the unnecessary phone numbers.....

The Tom Yum
To continue enjoying the long weekend, I suggested to our friends to have a potluck for Monday's dinner. Since there were huge squids available, so I decided to cook Seafood Tom Yum.
I spent about 3 hours preparing this....Just an apprentice in cooking, so needs a little more time to explore and experiment. :D
Here are the ingredients and seafood all cleaned up and prepared for Gracie's Seafood Tom Yum.
Squids, tomatoes and onions
Dory fish, prawns, lemon grass and ginger flower
Taaaaaa daaaaa......this was the finished product.
Other than the big pot of Tom Yum to feed four adults, I took some of the remaining squids to have it cooked as another dish - Garlic Butter Squid. On the other hand, Stevie will be preparing the stir-fry kai lans....
Overall, my pot was all cleaned up. I was quite concerned that my buddies didn't enjoy the soup, but later one of them said :" Action speaks louder than words. You see, the pot is all cleaned up and rice is also all gone!" *Phew, a sign of relieve that they were ok with my cooking. :P
Most importantly, was the feedback from my food critic, Leroy. He said the soup was a bit clear and needed to have more 'Tom Yum' taste. Hmm.....I shall cook this another round and experiment it in some other ways to improvise the taste of the Tom Yum soup.
However, he did thank me for the delicious meal. :D That was what it mattered most - appreciation and gratitude, even though the meal wasn't up to his expectation.
Sunday's Outing
Sunday evening, we went for Resident Evil: Retribution. Long and crappy movie.
After that, we headed to the pub/ bistro that I suggested - D' Legend. It is located at Taman Tun Dr Ismail. A single shop lot pub. I've never seen the place crowded before so far..despite been there twice.
It was Leroy's first time.
This was the hanging lamp with my BB's camera flash effect. Some of my friends thought I was watching fireworks somewhere when they saw this photo on my FB...hahahaha..
So, the recommended dishes are:
Pork Satay.
The meat is marinated with full flavour. Yummy! Along with it, is the satay peanut sauce.
Secondly is the Pork Pizza. Yes, this pub serves pork dishes and surprisingly, managed by a malay bar tender and 2 Indian guys. He doesn't mind serving the dishes at all.
Rich with cheese and pork, the pizza's only minus point is at the crust. It is not as crispy. But, I still like it because it is thin crust.
D' Legend serves set lunch menus which are really reasonable. Perhaps you want to try some day?
This is the simple interior of it. The walls are filled with paintings of famous bands/ singers and actors - eg. The Beatles, Bruce Lee and Michael Jackson. I would say it is a nice place to hang out with friends for beer, food, and footie too!

Jake's
For another celebration @ this place on Saturday night. This time it was with my family. Leroy met us there as he had something to do prior dinner.
I actually didn't quite fancy this restaurant even though it had been there (Damansara branch) for many years now. The place is relatively small. The food is nothing to shout about. Maybe it was because I had grilled fish (as I stopped taking beef since many years back till now).
Leroy had his Irish coffee from the beginning. :P
And a photo together to remember where we have been to together. ;)

Good things come in TWO
YES! That was what we celebrated last Saturday afternoon.
We headed to Dancing Fish at BSC for the duo celebration. Aunty and I met up SLynn for lunch. Aunty was so happy about our double celebration - 1) I got a new and better job 2) SLynn got promoted! that she bought us lunch to celebrate.
These were what we ordered. A little too much for 3? :P
Of course, after the chatting and sumptuous meal, we had a picture taken together.
We looked a bit serious, right? :P
So, after lunch, we didn't want to walk around the mall as there is nothing much to look at in BSC. So we hopped into SLynn's "weekend car" for a ride. She had to help her client to drive the car stuck with stickers on it for their recent TLC Campaign. :D A bit embarrassing but glamorous eh?
This is the dashboard and speedometer. Looks like Mickey Mouse?
This Mini Countryman is really huge for a Mini. Spacious to fit 5 but the boot space, will of course have to be smaller.
Guess what, I had a spin it in too! :D I had a great Saturday afternoon!

Pre-celebration
WIP - Work in Progress - there was where I had my celebration dinner with my buddies last night.
I would rate the place's ambiance is great and happening, but the price is slightly on the high side. Not all of the dishes were great, but so-so.
This salmon caesar salad is nice. I would recommend it to those are love salads. The sliced salmons are really generously thick.
This is Chicken Hawaiian Pizza. It is not so tasty.
Hmm....yummy, this is our favourite among all. Seafood Aglio Olio. Very tasty and most importantly, the seafood was fresh.
So, you might be wondering what were we celebrating?
We were celebrating my leaving and to join a new company, new industry. Not too long from now, I will be embarking and 'braving' through a whole new, challenging journey of my career.
Wish me luck!
I've never felt so relieve after tendering in my resignation letter. This is the very first time!

A happy and blessed weekend findouts...
My weekend was filled with activities.
On Saturday afternoon, I went to change 2 of my tires. They were at the danger level as there weren't much tracks left, so I had to fork out quite a bit to get them changed. *sweat*
Leroy waited for me to get home from the workshop. He fooled me that he had gone to the showroom to look at cars. I kept on pestering him to wait for me, and bring me along....... :P He really did! In fact, he came to pick me 20 minutes after I got home! I had to have a quick shower and change! Phew. He came with his family.
We headed to the nearest showroom to take a look......To my amaze, people in the showroom were looking and picking their choice of car as it they were shopping for clothes during sales period. *sweat*
After looking at the cars and getting the best price, we left. He wanted to consider carefully before making the purchase..... It was soon starting to rain, so we headed to Setia Walk for tea. Shaded parking, at least.
Sunday morning came, they brought me to the sales office and the show houses. The Yoon's wanted to show me where 'we' will be staying in the next couple of years. I was excited and happy. We went into almost every show house in the area to look see.
I walked around the sales office. Ahhhh......I just love looking at the miniature houses. They are just so detailed and refined. I was thrilled just looking at the different house's design and decoration.
This was one of the show houses' living room. It's awesome and beautiful! Very spacious too!
Incredibly there is a lift in the house!
Dry kitchen and dining area.
2nd living hall.
Aunty and Uncle were chatting with me, telling me about the house, 'appointed bedroom' for me and Leroy... ...and so forth. In the conversation, they included me in their future. I am truly happy to hear that and I am looking forward to it. I felt really blessed. :)
At night, we headed to Viva Home for Aunty's birthday dinner. We celebrated her birthday early because the boys will be traveling on business trips next week. Have a safe trip, boys!

Finally....relieved
Finally feeling relieved.
It'd been months since I was feeling the stress, and finally I felt so relieve after giving it to her. It was a shock to her but I suppose she will accept it eventually.
Many were happy for me.
Now, I am looking forward to the next few weeks.
