Our date last night

Despite being not feeling too well, he still brought me for dinner and movies. We didn't see each other for a week, and the night felt different (to me)....I was really happy and had a great quiet time with him...

Just a month away...

...And it is my favourite festive season of the year!

Saturday's bliss

Despite the gloomy weather this morning, it was a bliss to me. I was blessed with a free pampering session.

I tail-gated my friend to this beauty salon as I wasn't sure the location of it. She is currently coaching someone in beauty salon services and she needed a model. So, she contacted me if I would be free today to let her student practice nails manicure and pedicure on me. I agreed!

This beauty salon gave me a very soothing, comfortable and welcoming feeling. My friend is temporary using this place as a free-lance trainer for this student.

Oh, I totally love this staircase. If I own a house in future, I want my staircase to be like this!

Since Chermaine (hope I got her name spell correctly) is new to this, I was patient and gave her feedback on her massage skills. Of course, my friend was there throughout the whole process to guide and teach her.

I would say for a newbie, she did quite a fair job. There is of course room for improvement, but overall it wasn't too bad. 

Nice color? I have never tried this kind of color before.

Barn and later a table with balls

He picked me up from work yesterday evening as papa's car is sent in to the workshop for repairs post an accident. Papa needed to use my car as his is sent to the workshop for repairs post an accident.

We headed to one of our favourite hang out places (for now)  for dinner and the usual rounds of snooker. We couldn't decide what to have for dinner...till the waiter approached us. It is a newly opened cafe and so we decided to give it a try. 

Yup, it's called The Barn Cafe.

It is in business for a month now. The food was just so-so, but I would say the price is really reasonable. A plate of pork or chicken nasi lemak is RM7.90.

I had Lychee Smoothie and it came with a mini umbrella. It'd been such a long time since I had a drink served with it. :) Cute, right?

Cheap, reasonable or fine-dining, all it matters is who I dine with. And I had a totally great time last night.

While we were playing, Leroy's staff came with his friend. I was introduced to him. They were playing at the next table, but later they joined us. His staff is really funny and friendly. Great to meet new people, especially his colleagues / friends. :)

Hello, Desk!

Welcome to my little open-concept- cubicle. This is where I sit in the office and yes, I can always talk to the wall. 

It is still manageable and haven't really got messy...probably few months down the road, I will be only left with a small spot for my laptop. (I will be getting my laptop real soon! Yippee!)

My thoughts about work

Thursday night. 

I am here at home, watching tv, surfing the net and having my 'me-time', while he is out with his friends (gf - friends life balance'). I have to work tomorrow as I didn't apply for any leave....didn't feel right to take off since I've just joined this new company.

Well, I would say at least we had our quality time together earlier today. He took me for games of snooker and yes, we had fun and silly acts. After 4 games, we headed for dinner before he sent me home. 

Life has been pretty much busy and stress in a way since I started this job. A lot to learn and to adapt, no time for small chats in the office. My boss and the other GM had also told me that I will be busy for the next 6 months. They told me to ensure I convey this message to my other half as I will have less time with him but will only have 'quality time'. I am happy as long as we did spend some time together and keep our relationship healthy.

It'd been such a long time since I went on a real vacation. Finished my last day of service with a company and started the next right away or only with 2-3 days of rest. I wonder if I am really a workaholic or they were just co-incidences that I had to start right away? 

Whine or groan ain't going to change anything. Since I have chosen my path, I shall take it as a blessing compared to those who don't have what I have now - my family, my job, my other half and the knowledge and experience that I have.....

Just have to be thankful!

Invited to a great nightout

I was invited. 

Left work earlier yesterday evening (I was rushing to finish up a report, which is totally new to me. So, had to study the figures and yet work on it. Stress!) to meet up with Leroy and his friends for dinner and drinks. I was almost the last person to arrived because my work place is further. Thank goodness to the long stretch of public holiday and school holiday, traffic wasn't as bad.

Boy, the dishes we shared was all with pork in them. Hmm..how often you have a drinking place that serves pork? I had great fun as the night was filled with lots of laughter. Everyone was just cracking silly jokes and by the time we went home, my jaw was rather a little tired. :P

MIA Week

Hello peeps! Yup, I was totally disconnected from the world of the internet for a week (at home). Thanks to the cranky weather lately, the modem got burned (aka. struck by lightning) some how despite turning it off. So, I only had the alternative of FB-ing with my mobile phone.

Yea, I am back!

I had a very busy week for me at work. Stores presentation, meeting with buyers and of course, I still had to do my work and learn at the same time! Challenging!

This is the book that I am reading for the time being. Got it loaned from my boss to understand more on the brand. I started reading it; the history and creation of Sotirios Bulgari is really inspiring and awesome. 

Settling in...

...I don't really have the sucky / uncomfortable feeling tonight....I think I am slowly settling into my new job and environment...
